    sex is like math; you add the bed, subtract the clothes, divide the legs, and pray you don’t multiply

      Slight tangent, it’s derivative but puns are integral to a good joke

      Jesus Christ, you just brought me back to middle school.

    Someone is looking to be tangent to her curves

    Wait, they edited the signature? This is a PBF comic, at least that edited on signature is unreadable.

      The signature is Nicholas Gurewitch, creator of PBF. example here

        First time I see it signed like that

    f(t) = r(t)·[cos(t), sin(t)];
    r(t) = 10t/(3π) − 9/2;
    t: 3π/2 -> 9π/4`

      so f is a function that yield a value between the ribbons bounded by cos and sin scaled by r, which is just a linear line, and then you define the axis t itself as a mapping that multiplies 3/2 to everything.

      I give up, what is it? It sounds like a single point on a graph, but what is it solving

        It’s a parametric plot of an object that goes from straight down at 0.5 units, then expands to 3 units in a 45° upright angle.

        f is a curve

        [cos(t), sin(t)]

        this is a vector that on it’s own would just create a circle/arc, r deforms the arc.
