- Comment on PS6 and Xbox Project Helix "will start at a 50% higher price" than PS5 and Xbox Series X, predict analysts following Sony price hike – and $999 "is not impossible" 1 day ago:
It’s amazing to see what they squeezed out of the PS3 and Xbox 360 towards the end of their life compared to the launch titles. It feels like there was not much of an improvement over the life span of the PS4. The PS5 has ray tracing, but apart from that it doesn’t look much different from the PS4. I suppose framerates are higher now.

Both Mars’ moons (Phobos and Deimos) are asteroids. They’re really small.

Then you don’t have an office job, but a lab job that also involves sitting in an office.
- Comment on wir suchen dich‼️‼️🗣️📢📢 1 week ago:
Yeah, but only in combination with an s, so it’s chs that’s pronounced as ks.
- Comment on wir suchen dich‼️‼️🗣️📢📢 1 week ago:
You find that in a lot of european languages, even in English almost everything that ends in -tion is pronounced -shon.
- Comment on wir suchen dich‼️‼️🗣️📢📢 1 week ago:
That’s like saying F is close to P
Korean for example doesn’t have an F sound, a lot of loanwords that have an F sound use P instead, France turns into Prangseu and coffee to copy.
- Comment on wir suchen dich‼️‼️🗣️📢📢 1 week ago:
In some areas people pronounce an initial ch as a k, like kina instead china. But apart from that neither of the two actual ch sounds exists in English.

I just so happen to have passed by one of my old schools, what should I do next?
- Comment on wir suchen dich‼️‼️🗣️📢📢 1 week ago:
suchen = to search/look for
and ch doesn’t make a k sound, not even close.

Yeah, but they did that for like two games.
- Comment on Nvidia Announces DLSS 5, and it adds... An AI slop filter over your game 2 weeks ago:
Ideally you’d have a DLSS-like system trained specifically trained for only one game instead of a general system. Then you can train it on 4k with highest settings and you should get something that doesn’t mess with the style of the game.

You could call it temporal super sampling.
- Comment on New open world parkour game Panline is so exact a reflection of Mirror's Edge it gives me vertigo 2 weeks ago:
It is open world and thanks to the art style both Mirror’s Edge games still look fantastic. Also I would call it a reboot, neither prequel nor sequel.
- Comment on Nvidia Announces DLSS 5, and it adds... An AI slop filter over your game 2 weeks ago:
DLSS is short for Deep Learning Super Sampling, it does the upscaling using deep learning, what people also call AI. The upscaler has to be trained on images. Depending on how you train it you either get something that looks almost exactly the same as the game at a higher resolution or you get AI slop.

Isn’t DLSS by defintion always an AI slop filter?
- Comment on Haha yes society is great 2 weeks ago:
Worst case it will oscillate and not stabilise. Then you get generations with a lot of people and generations with very few people. If you have for example pension systems build on the expectation that you have at least a stable population, ideally a growing population, then this will cause a lot of problems, you can see this in Germany for example. If your population oscillates over decades then you need to adapt your society, your government, all the systems to this oscillation.

개새끼 or just 새끼 seem to be much more popular instead of 바보 새끼. And a lot of people will just say 씨 instead of 씨발.
