I had someone who works in the industry explain it to me like this:
Most game studios treat their employees as interchangeable components. Imagine a movie studio that just finished filming a movie - not everyone who was working on it will have more to do after that point. And the studio may not have open positions to fill on other films, so they let those additional people go instead of paying them to be on standby for months. After all, cameramen and grips and the like can always be found when the need arises. Apart from a handful of key members of the team, this is the fate of most game developers once their part of the project is completed.

What part of Virginia? Hampton Roads is basically only good for seafood, but they are good at it. Northern Virginia has diverse and interesting ethnic food options, but you have to look for them. Richmond I assume is the same. Western Virginia is kind of rural sprawl but the southern food is great.

In my experience microwaves modulate how long the magnetron is on for, not the amount of power its using for each running cycle. eg 30 seconds on 50% will run at full power for a total of 15 seconds, and idle the other 15 seconds.

A buddy of mine tried that after he bought his house. Long story short the ozone reacted with chemicals in the carpet and furniture and produced various toxic aldehydes. His (then) pregnant wife couldn’t safely be in the house for like a week afterwards.
