My opticians has had one for years.
I’ve been going since I was a kid, I’ve played with it each time I’ve been waiting to be seen to.
I still do if there’s no kids.
I’m 40

What do you do with it? I’ve moved the beads around but it doesn’t give me any pleasure
This comment with no context: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Either:
Put all the beads to one side of the coloured bar and try and get them to the other side in one flick of the bead.
Or,
Try and get the beads from one end to the other without touching the metal, like one of those old boomer games you get at village fêtes
It’s got too many things going for it.
Additionally these aren’t likely to break within the week, unlike most children’s toys I’ve bought in the past couple of years
Include subscriptions to Highlights and magazines of adolescent animals, you’re set!
I forgot about Highlights! Loved that shit growing up.
The computer game hit so hard growing up.
I thought Ranger Rick went under long ago! Great news!
Fucking love Highlights magazine! So great! I’ll still read one if I every saw it again!
My brother’s orthodontist had a dreamcast with crazy taxi. Always a good visit
I still get flashbacks to a dentist with Magical Quest on Super Nintendo.
I love this thing. I dont know what exactly, but something in them makes them a fun toy.
As a man over 40… these things are fun.

You wouldn’t believe how surprised I was that you could just buy them as a regular person. Somehow it felt like only doctors are allowed to have these. You can’t have that at home.
Well, we do now, but it feels wrong.

A few colourful bent wires and beads? I remember seeing them in a few other places too, I assume it’s the cheapest thing they can get that is reasonably hard to break and steall.

This could have been a complete lie, but I was told they have those types of toys because they are easy to sanitize.
