    Meeting someone I used to be friends with 20 years ago. It was during a particularly shitty period of my old life. We reconnected via Facebook marketplace of all places lol.

    Wonder how it’ll be. He should be here in 10 mins

      I bought a thick soft mattress topper (10cm thick bamboo) and also got some new linen sheets. It has definitely made the bed extra cozy. I also have a heated throw rug on the couch though, so there are lots of competing cozy spots around.

    Flights to Perth and back booked - phew. Thank goodness for my in-laws shouting us - flights are exxy AF when the cost is 78% of my monthly rent 😬

    But it’ll be good - we haven’t seen my partner’s brother and his wife since before covid, and they have a son and daughter now! So catching up with the nieces and nephew, and his family will be great.

    I hope I can still get a job, despite being away for 20 days, but I’ll do what I can!

    So it turns out Miniest needs reading glasses. Huh. Didn’t have that on my bingo card for this year 🤔. She’s pretty happy to wear glasses too and luckily she looks good wearing them.

      I hear that if you’re buying plain spectacles, eg not tinted or multifocal, zenni online is pretty cheap, you just need to get a copy of kids prescription.

    I was feeling a bit sad that Sox has been a bit saucy and aloof (more swiping/nipping, barely moving off the oodie on my bed) the last two days. But today she has come around completely after I was watching some cat videos that alarmed her, and especially after hanging around all morning. I think in the end she was just getting pissy with me because I’d been out for most of the day 4 days in a row and was lonely 🥺

    Now she’s back to her friendly lap-cuddling, aggressively headbutting self 💜

    Love it when you turn on a random movie on TV and figure out exactly what’s happening even though you only started watching halfway in. The movie was terrible but it hooked me.

    At the end of my cafe and chess breakfast with my friend, her partner showed up with hot lukomades drowning in warm chocolate sauce. Soooo good. It made getting whipped 3-0 feel much better

    12.8 degrees in my house this morning, the lowest so far this winter. Switched the heater on and back under the bed sheets waiting patiently for some warmth before I get up.

    first coat of painting of drawers done, penultimate touch up of bedside table done, drawer handles done and drying

    two chapters of a book on organisational behaviours done

    bread made

    shopping done

    washing done

    kitchen tidied

    beach walk done

    still have more painting, cat room to clean, more study and more book

    and most importantly , write in diary 🙂

    I have this spicy savoury mix thing people at home picked up. I can only describe it as highly unpleasant.

    It is too spicy to just graze on, and it doesn’t have a satisfying crunch. That could be because we’ve had it for a while, but I never remember it having a crunch.

    I’ll take it to work and if I can’t enjoy it then I’ll pour it into the organics bin

      Check useby date. If the mix was fried, then the oil may have gone rancid and nothing will fix it.

    Have been looking at a VR headset for the ps5. Had one before, was a lot of fun. Also connects to the PC.

        It’s be my early Xmas present basically. Headset works with PC and Ps5 which is cool.

        Wipeout on the VR was the bomb, I got really motion sick using it but I was able to get used to it in the end and driving in cockpit mode.

        It’s so unreal being in VR in wipeout and was so cool.

        I think if I did again now I’d be sick since I haven’t used VR in awhile.
