Australian Federal Election Day

Not explained in this video.
All 930 votes have their second preferences considered, because there’s no way to determine which individual ballots are the excdss.
The key is that the second preferences transferred at a reduced rate: excess votes for Liz divided by total votes for Liz. i.e. 129/930 = 0.13.
See the Transferring the surplus section on this official AEC information.
You champion! That makes sense. Sorry, I didn’t think the video would backtrack to correct their initial simplifiction.
Another video of an option boss I took down.
The music in this one is pretty awesome, I love the soundtrack to this so much.
Expedition 33 - Chromatic Ballet
Sorry if I’m being annoying with these.
I heard this game is French persona. Plus it’s made by former ubisoft devs, so it’s great to see them get out of there and do their own thing.
I’m enjoying your videos. 🙂 n/k
Thanks!
Keep posting them, please!
I watch about half of it and it looks awesome. It looked like you should die a bunch of times but idk what in looking at
With this in particular the only real way to damage these bosses are to completely parry their attacks which is very strict timing.
They’re also floating bosses so have about a 80% dodge rate on all attacks sans counter attacks via parry or jumping.
I’ve been thinking about cleaning off the consoles and setting them up around my desk; my second monitor is actually a small TV so I could plug them in. Mainly because I want to play the original Ratchet and Clank trilogy, and Halo.
I think, out of all the Halo games, my favourites are ODST and Reach. I know it’s silly, but in Reach I could play as a female Spartan and that was fucking awesome to me.
I can has sossig
Now we wait until it is time for St Antony
I usually have white noise or something on while I sleep. Last night was too lazy and my dreams were amazing and vivid.
Interesting.
classic cat but you need to wipe the camera on your phone, so fuzzy :P
Lol good point
Dan Teehan talks like he’s very disappointed with his 2nd grade class lol

Interesting. I was aware of Vote Compass, but the Build a Ballot was new to me. Will save that for next time.
I got partway through Vote Compass, until it started asking Data Harvesting questions. Why does it need my Income, gender and gender identity to tell me how to vote? Religion should also be irrelevant!
The answers were pretty generic too. How many asylum seekers should we let in? “At least as many as required by UN obligations.” None of this “Much More”, “More”, “Same”, “Less”, “Much Less” rubbish!
I knew I would lure you in with the Witch Party link 🧹
I stupidly only numbered 5 instead of 6 above the line in the Senate. Is my vote counted?
Even if I numbered 6, I risked exhausting my vote since I did not number Lab or Lib anywhere. One really should number as many as possible.
It’ll still count afaik
Although my intention was clear I don’t think my vote will count. This is what the AEC says when I practice, numbering only 5 boxes. Image
And in the section on “vote saving provisions” it says:
For Senate ballot papers the requirement for a formal vote is that when voting above the line, at least the numbers 1 to 6 shall be marked in the squares on the ballot paper (see subsection 239(2)).
For voting below the line, the requirement is that at least the numbers 1 to 12 are marked in the squares printed on the ballot paper (see subsection 239(1)). However, there is a vote savings measure that can operate where only one square is marked above the line (see section 269), or where voting below the line, at least six squares have been marked 1 to 6 using consecutive numbers (see section 268A).
I was told the other week by a regular AEC worker that they still count votes like that if the intent is clear and if it isn’t a practical issue for the vote like the last missing.

For some totally non-election related discussion: what is your preferred style of bed? I’m seeing a lot of fabric covered bed heads around, and I really don’t like that idea from a cleaning/hygiene perspective.
I’m looking at a dark stained wood frame bed, a fairly minimal design with raised legs and no footboard. My current bed is nearly 30 years old, the options have changed considerably since then.

Fabric headboards are a complete pain to keep clean, especially if you have pets. The amount of hair that accumulates is mindblowing, and I worry about fleas/bedbugs etc. as they’re impossible to wash or clean properly. I have a wrought iron decorative head & foot, with sturdy iron rails holding them apart and sturdy slats. Its quite tall - mid thigh when standing next to it, but the underbed space holds my two spare guest mattresses easily and more besides.
Slats are a major point of failure in cheap beds, so if you get a Cpt Snooze or Fantastic Furniture bed, replace the slats with tongue & groove boards laid a little apart for ventilation. This also prevents cats from climbing up into the mattress from below and getting squashed by the coils (if any).

Woodframe all the way. Fabric heads scream hotel to me, and I want the storage and ventilation of a non solid base. And no need for those hideous frilly things.

Am also a fan of minimalist wood frame. Latex mattress to seal the deal.

Generally whatever has been $50-$100 bucks on gumtree. Mostly some kind of wood number. Head, foot, rails and slats. Were I to buy something I’d be looking at included storage.

Some years ago my dream would have been to have every cm of space under the bed usable for storage, possibly with a bookshelf headboard too. These days I’m trying to be more minimalist, plus I have more room in general, so I’m prioritising a more open design that lets my pets wander freely underneath.

I recently bought a bed from Quokka Beds. They are a little joint in Perth that premake beds out of wood. I got one out of Tassie oak. Really simple. Easy to put together and I am really happy with it.

I like solid beds , a nice height to sit on, no fabric, not rickety

Mine’s probably 25 years old and the slats don’t stay in place well, my next bed will have a better set up I think.
Dark stained wood with no foot sounds like a winner.

As for frame, I’m strongly against fabric bases, horrible for mold.
Personally I’d go 100% metal base, maybe stained wood if I could guarantee mold free.
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 days ago
I can’t say I’ve ever had mould on my wood furniture. I have had a metal base which was cheaply made and bent after very little use, so I’m a bit wary of metal frames. It was when I was a teenager and money was pretty tight, Mum managed to buy my sister and I new bed frames to replace the tatty second hand wood ones we’d had since we first moved into full beds, and within a year they had both broken and we ended up sleeping on matresses on the floor for a few years.
