Dog is struggling with daylight savings. Why is my food late? Why is my walk at a different time?
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 11 months ago
I push meal times back a bit for a few weeks in the leadup so it’s not too dramatic a shift. I also vary meal times a bit so they don’t get too focussed on a specific time and stress if the routine is messed up for any reason.

Fretting
Haven’t been able to sort out a lift for the appointments yet. I hope I can soon because the dentist will be taking a break and the next available would be in June. I’m a bit worried about Melbcat because she has some signs of being unwell still and is chugging unusual amounts of water. If need be I’ll book a home vet visit, it just means I need to clean up after letting things slide for almost a week. I’ve handballed the slimy dishes to Midea on the hottest setting. At the moment I don’t care if I have to redo them later. I just need clean enough.

Why is Bon Jovi stuck in my head? He’s been in there singing for days.

Dishwasher boogaloo
Ok. Two runs through the dishwasher didn’t clean things well, most noticeably the cutlery. So I’ve removed all dishes and the rack. Took out the bottom grill and filter, disassembled everything for a scrub with a child’s toothbrush and rinsed. Every single hole or outlet has been cleaned with a pipe cleaner. The outlet tube was removed and had water run through it to confirm it wasn’t blocked, then reattached and the metal ring retightened. I’ve started it empty with no soap and watched water flow unimpeded out of all the holes. No loss of pressure. Light bubbling of the water. I have a cup to catch some for whisking after.
And if this troubleshooting doesn’t work I’m tempted to put Midea out on her lazy arse. I haven’t really found this machine to be helpful. On top of the expense it’s mostly been an aggravation and dragged chores out.
Added to that I’ve found cockroaches love the moisture and some are nesting behind the heavy bulk. It’s very easy to spill while filling so you would have to move it and wipe behind every time, and there’s not much you can do about having to leave the door open after use.
I seriously regret the purchase. I don’t like it.

Maybe you got a shit one. I don’t like how you can’t leave it ajar so I put a magnet there.
spoiler

Yeah I don’t get it. Either the reviews were padded or I got a lemon.
I went to go leave a review and they’re no longer being sold there so that’s weird

trying to work out how to a linux version of sysprep. God I miss being able to search things on the net.
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 11 months ago
I also found out the few people using linux in head office were asked to switch back to Windows. Because work offers no support, you were given root access and could just sudo anything onto your computer you’d like.
Sounds sick but that’s exactly why they’ve backflipped on this

Noosa’s Chip n Mix. What could possibly be there that you can’t make at home? $8 for 150g. I give it 3 years before the crash n burn.
dumblederp@piefed.social 11 months ago
I'll let you know when they're 3/$5 at Savemore.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone 11 months ago
but it’s Noosa and Noosa is well off and prone to mindless fads
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 11 months ago
Is it like when people line up at the Apple store just to be the first and say they did it?
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 11 months ago
Can’t imagine it’s particularly sustainable at all, but Noosa is a bit of a weird place.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 11 months ago
Only time will tell I guess
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 11 months ago
Being generous with the 3 year plan.
The frozen yogurt places can kind of okay, cause it’s sweets. Can’t say the same thing about savoury things being sustainable.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 11 months ago
Yeah, I was being generous. Everything is riding on the chicken salt and gravy I suspect.

What’s your most hated font? Every time I come across a document or email in Arial I just want to change it right away. It’s so bland.
anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 11 months ago
I hate comic sans with a passion and I secretly judge people who use it, particularly at work
useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 11 months ago
comic sans should be used on legal documents to take the edge off.
dumblederp@aussie.zone 11 months ago
At this point they’re trolling the haters.
tone212_@aussie.zone 11 months ago
I’m shocked people still use Comic Sans in this day and age.

Calibri. Geez just makes me raaage. I am quite partial to Railway but I don’t hate Arial
TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 11 months ago
Calibri is great for spreadsheets - I use it for excel shit. The numbers are beautiful. The font I haaaate is Bodoni.
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 11 months ago
The font on the old theme I was using on the website was some serif font where the lines were all the same thickness.
There was something about it when doing white text on black what was just too heavy and hard to read
