Best example of misleading packaging, maybe. Pop in the disc and the horse is right fucking there.
Best game of the 90s

Your render distance was set too low.
ignotum@lemmy.world 8 months ago
Og the render distance was too low he wouldn’t have seen the horse
It’s really far away after all
danc4498@lemmy.world 8 months ago
He only gets far away in the morning when it’s foggy outside.

I really liked this one. The Wii sequel “Horse Beyond Earth’s Curvature” was just a cash in though.
nexguy@lemmy.world 8 months ago
Tip-toe feature to see horse over horizon was a sick Easter egg
Bigoldmustard@lemmy.zip 8 months ago
Wtf I played for hours and never knew that!

Technology really is amazing. It’s getting to the point where fantasy and reality are indistinguishable.
GladiusB@lemmy.world 8 months ago
Go try goat simulator. That will distinguish it real quick.
Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 8 months ago
You mean your normal everyday life ISN’T almost identical to Goat Simulator? How weird!
altima_neo@lemmy.zip 8 months ago
A technical marvel! You couldn’t do this kind of game on N64.
NinePeedles@sh.itjust.works 8 months ago
And this is on a GameCube. Imagine how far away it could be today.
everett@lemmy.ml 8 months ago
There would be too much fog.
gregorum@lemm.ee 8 months ago
It would just be a tiny triangle.
altima_neo@lemmy.zip 8 months ago
If it were visible through the fog, that is

Never understood why this was rated teen. My parents wouldn’t let me play it because of that. I wore a far away horse t-shirt to school and pretended I knew what the hell was going on with this game but never actually played it. Should probably download an emu and give it a shot.

I had a guy in my school who would always brag about shit he did in video games but obviously no one ever saw, and there was no internet to actually proof it. One day he said he found a saddle in far away horse and we sussed out that he didn't even have a gamecube. Absolute loser

Too close!! I’m not ready for this level of intimacy.
MyNamesNotRobert@lemmynsfw.com 8 months ago
I loved that game as a kid. I didn’t have the edition where the horse was even further away though.

Wait where’s the hot air balloon

Desert Bus was better.

But now the games of today’s youth are different, like the game free fire mod apk which is very famous with young people.
Even_Adder@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 months ago
I had the demo disc with the trailer for this. I played it to help get to sleep.
stoy@lemmy.zip 8 months ago
Oh, come on, do some BASIC research!
The GameCube was released in 2001, not in the 90s!
HowManyNimons@lemmy.world 8 months ago
10 PRINT “BUT I ALREADY KNOW BASIC!” 20 GOTO 10
samus12345@lemmy.world 8 months ago
HELLO WORLD!
Stamets@lemmy.world 8 months ago
This is the shitpost community. The title is part of the post. I gave the wrong year on purpose to go along with the idiocy of the “game”.
stoy@lemmy.zip 8 months ago
I get that, and I took a gamlbe on my comment, seems to have been well recieved.
ArmoredThirteen@lemmy.ml 8 months ago
The game was really ahead of its time
