I think a lot of times they don’t want you to know what’s been updated. For instance, pointing out all the bugs you’re fixing might make your app look like it’s always full of bugs. Or the security fix might draw attention to issues that exist for currently outdated apps.
Not saying it’s a good reason, but maybe that’s their thought process.

This sounds familiar now that you mention it. So crazy how far in the past that is. Almost like he really benefited from that attack.

Did typing that sentence take the same amount of time and energy as doing photoshop or hand drawn art? Cause that’s literally what I said, and you ignored that.
There’s much more you can do than just “typing into a box”. A lot of AI art comes from combining handmade art with ai prompts. Finessing the image with more prompts. Training ai to produce results you’re looking for. Etc.
Have a look at the Ai videos subreddit if you want an example of what I’m talking about. It’s mostly silly shit, but people are combining lots of tools as well as AI to create things that have never been created before.
My hope is that someday AI can be used to elevate art in the same way that photoshop has elevated art. We have images and videos that were not possible before photoshop and other video/photo editing tools. The same creative out of the box thinkers that used those technologies are going so cool shit with AI.
Please don’t act like I am saying that “typing in a box is the same as painting”. Cause that’s not what I said, and for some reason you keep acting like it.

Give infinite monkeys infinite typewriters and infinite time and eventually you’d have avengers endgame script.

I was simply talking about work as a metric of time and energy. There is art that potentially can be done in AI that is not simply “typing in a chat box”. Just like photoshop artists aren’t simply “applying filters” or whatever it is they do (you’re right, I’m not an artist).
And for much of the “slop” on the internet, it is just copying some prompt you found and tweaking it a little and posting it on the internet for points.
I think artists have the potential to take AI to the next level and make even better things. Similar to how photoshop artists can make incredible art.
This implies that you know nothing of the work an artist does and therefore negates your opinion.
This is weirdly aggressive as I’m just giving my hopes for the future and not judging anybody… maybe you misunderstood what my comment was about.
- Comment on nostalgia 1 week ago:
Great point. I have found myself seeing a meme and laughing and enjoying it, then reading the top comments about “AI slop” and question whether I should have enjoyed it or not. I’m going to try to ignore that part of my brain from now on.
- Comment on nostalgia 1 week ago:
It’s little depressing, cause you post that now and it will get all the same “ai slop” hate.

You should take all the things that stress you out that you have no control over, and just toss them out window. You can’t control them, so why worry about them?
There’s plenty of things worthy of your time that you can control. So focus on them.

I am willing to bet there will be A LOT of people. I am a very tech savvy person, and I use edge on my work computer for many things (single sign on). My default search engine changed to bing, and I ended up using bing by accident for a while. And then for a while longer cause I was too lazy to change the setting.

Can somebody smarter than me tell me what this is trying to say? There’s a bar for surveillance year and birth year. But, for instance, 2012 is on the graph twice with different values. What does it mean?

The comment that there’s blood on the shirt and that could only happen if it’s an exit wound seemed off. The shirt flies up and touches the wound, so blood could be from that.
- Comment on [META] Community discussion regarding AI & clickbait 2 weeks ago:
I think it’s better to tag things than to specifically not allow it. If it’s AI, there should be some [tags] included in the title that specify if it’s [mostly ai] [partially ai]
Clickbait titles suck, but if the YouTube video title is clickbait, it should be allowed. Though, maybe either tagging it as such, or maybe expanding the title to make it no longer clickbait.
