Advertising peaked in '98 with this piece of art. The data people are in charge of the industry now, all creativity and fun is long gone.

Yeah I get it, it’s a silly comparison as the potential threat landscape is completely different. It’s a sad aituation over there.

I was paid a dawn visit many years ago by an armed unit (UK). The way they ran it was two plainclothes (handguns only) officers knock on the door to assess the threat, with a van full of tooled up guys in balaclavas just outside, just in case. It was all very chill and no unnecessary stress/escalation for anyone. Seems like this would be a more sensible approach.

Alpine White 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. Watch the film Vanishing Point for reasons.

I met my wife on Tinder in 2021. Recently reinstalled it and holy fucking shit it’s changed so much. Feels like a pay to play game now.

Underberg?! Or other incredibly bitter and foul liquid? It’s a novel idea but I don’t think it would really work. Maybe if you made it even more potent with sucrose octaacetate or denatonium benzoate (active ingredients in those nail varnishes that are supposed to stop you biting your nails).

See also squirrels/mice and other small rodents falling/jumping from trees. They DGAF because fall damage isn’t really a thing for them.

This will be me in a few weeks. Wife walked out on me and she owns all the furniture so minimalist space here we come. Great for VR and I can set up a little photo studio, with space left over for my crying chair!

They’re cute until you try and remove one trespassing in your garden. Once they’ve tasted that sweet fuchsia the little fuckers will never give up trying to destroy everything between them and the fuchsia. And then they get big, big enough to break down a stone wall.

Wildlife photography really is mostly about the equipment though. And waiting/being in the right place obviously. But I can tell you from experience, a novice can absolutely produce pictures like this with the right equipment.

Yeah I can see why they’d not implement it, not even that interested in AR, it’s just a nice QOL feature that I’d miss.

Sad about the monochrome passthrough but otherwise pretty hyped for more VR hardware. The Index was a disappointment to me so glad to see it’s more in line with the Quest 3, especially the controllers. They look perfect.

Currently going through this, the council wrote the order, took it to my neighbour, who promptly talked them out of serving it. Said he’d be quiet. Wish it worked like that for parking tickets.

FYI if you’re shooting tethered the live view functionality and performance of Capture One is infinitely better.

Not sure they’re much better, they charge to install an intervalometer app. Its extremely basic functionality that should be there as standard.

Flashback to that time a friend poured himself a shot of fabric softener at the poker table, drank it and acted like that was a totally normal thing to do. It still haunts me. Weird guy.
