Dude, my favorite is 2Kings 2:23:24
“Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up by the way, young lads came out from the city and mocked him and said to him, ‘Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead!’ When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two lads of their number.”
God kills 42 kids for calling someone bald LOL

I disagree. I’ve been really enjoying the string of these that have been getting posted. This one specifically feels like a clever meta meme that captures the style of the original ones.

I love the message, but I wish it was a little longer.
“Stop trying to force things” One is hoping for a specific outcome instead seeing opportunities. Many are blind to what’s already in front of them.

Friends and I always send memes in the group chat. They said never forget. They didn’t tell us how.

Damn dude, that’s pretty rough :/ My partner has chronic health issues and lost their job like 2 months ago. Thank god I still have work. We’re only 40 but in 20 years I fear i will be in a similar situation to you.
I am not optimistic about the future :\
- Comment on The Price of this Candy Bar 3 weeks ago:
Im willing to bet most people do not look at the price tag before buying it. Same with soda, chips, etc. Maybe they don’t even look at the register. They just swipe their card, same as always.

Harm reduction and rehab centers where they can use in a safe environment is how you really help people addicted to drugs. Instead of locking them in a cage and pretending they don’t exist.

Like 400k kids go missing each year and flock has helped find exactly 0 of them. They can’t even be bothered to do some bullshit PR stuff to even pretend it’s for “our safety”.
- Comment on What are some things I can do as an apartment dweller to fight climate change/deal with the coming effects? 4 weeks ago:
As an individual anything short of some kind of eco-terrorism (not recommended) won’t really have an effect. It’s the collective action of lots of people not eating meat and stuff.
Assuming you’re in the U.S., which state? If it’s in the south I’d highly recommend trying to save up and find a way north. In 25 years some of those states will be literal hell. Better to move on your own terms than be forcibly relocated imo(worst case scenario).
Something i don’t see posted much is to enjoy the present as much as you can. Go on walks. Admire trees/nature. Visit people who live further away. You know, things we wont really get to do in the future. Our futures have been taken, don’t let them take our present too.

Oddly enough I’m like 80% there. I meal prep lunches of rice and refried beans with chopped veggies, breakfast is oatmeal, sometimes I’ll have chicken for dinner tho.
There is some comfort knowing I’m at least not personally making things worse.
