I’ve eaten thai-style fried crickets, they really weren’t that bad. I think you just have to turst that they indeed are edible, so its easier to think of them as food rather than bugs

Because units less than a litre are so common. 2ml of syrup, 4dl of flour, 12cl of wine, 0.5l of beer, etc. But things you measure by mass rarely go below 1 gram (in day-to-day life at home). Candy bar is 50g, a packet of cheese is 200g, a chunk of meat is a kilogram. Besides, most people just call it “a kilo” so the common units in the spoken language are “a kilo” when talking about mass and “a litre” when talking about volume

Where I live there is no scales in any stores, you just scan and pay. Well Lidl does have a scale for produce, but the scale is only active when measuring the product.

I think it will boil down to people leaving the internet, caused primarily by platform decay. The regular person realizes they are wasting their time looking at ragebait, ads and propaganda. The algorithm will no longer be able stimulate the user in a way that keeps them hooked and genuinely engaged. The influencers will be the last ones to quit, as they will be getting “engagement” by bots while regular users - mostly viewers who don’t post or comment much - keep steadily leaving, also taking their friends and family with them.

No, I knew then later that I had an infection. That appeared maybe 3 hours after the bite. What I tried to say initially was that my immediate reaction to the bite wasn’t disinfection, instead I put on a tourniquet and applied pressure on the dirty bleeding wound
