From clinic to clinic might be different but even just a basic screening at Planned Parenthood tests for like 8 different things so no, pretty thorough is saying exactly enough and you’re just being stubborn.
You give the exact “it’s just a little herpes” vibes that you mention elsewhere. Why else would you fight everyone so hard when EVERYONE is telling you it’s very easy to get tested for the whole host of most common STIs on the regular?
- Comment on sus 3 days ago:
Usually the screenings are pretty thorough. I’ve gotten one at least once a year (usually 6 months) for as long as I’ve been an adult.

No sound effects for me but I absolutely go “Danana na na nana na” (this is Duel of the Fates) while swinging around a feather on a stick.

The way we educate science is we go “thus is it! But actually not but you’ll learn the complexities later”. Think of how they teach you the structure of the atom from highschool up to university level.
Unfortunately most people stop science education at highschool, which usually stops at “Sex is determined by the chromosomes” and doesn’t complicate it further because they still gotta get to chromosome replication before the end of the chapter.

I also have a hard time with ID politics and the like, but I’m also a privileged white dude so my primary gripe will always be focused around economic disparity. The BLM protests helped me see it this way: There is not war but the class war, but there are multiple fronts. If we don’t at least try a little to protect minority groups, we won’t have any progressives left

Yea, even down to the name, Decide has a very “we’re the devil worshippers your pastor ranted about” look.

I feel that pain. It’s like that “worst she can do is say no” thing. When I was 12 my friends were joking about who another friend should “date” (ofc in the capacity that 12yos manage that) and someone JOKINGLY suggested me, I even laughed along for a second. Her answer, rather than laughing along or something, was a deadpan “eww”. That fucked my confidence for years

I don’t get that actually, and neither does she lol. We both like Inquisition. It was a step back towards Origins in gameplay and the story was fantastic.
Even then, bad gameplay should be made up for (for her) by the story. Veilguard shits on everything David wrote and that’s what upsets her. It’s just flat out bad writing in every aspect.
- Comment on Which game is it? 1 month ago:
So I’m not autistic and these aren’t necessarily bad games, but for my partner this is definitely Dragon Age. She has put an insane number of hours into the first 3 games. She knew The Veilguard was going to be bad. She KNEW, she told me multiple times even the second before she told me she bought the game. She got 3/4 of the way through before having a crying, screaming meltdown over how bad it was.

This is a little over your price point I think, but it hits all the details! My ears don’t do well being pressed on so can definitely say it’s the most comfortable headset I’ve worn. Battery has lasted a while too! Mine is pushing 4 years old and still going very strong.

Yea, the fact that any CEO would take a stance like this just shines on his hypocrisy. If leadership bears no responsibility, they also shouldn’t be taking home any of a company’s profit.

I’m surprised the OSRS wiki isn’t mentioned more. The game itself is very community oriented as well.

- Comment on Balatro wins formal appeal to reclassify poker game as PEGI 12 2 months ago:
That’s what I’m saying tho, it’s bs that Belatro would get hit simply for the imagery they’re using, while other games get a lesser penalty when ACTUAL (both real money and in game currencies) gambling is happening.
- Comment on Balatro wins formal appeal to reclassify poker game as PEGI 12 2 months ago:
Awesome to see them win this. If other games can have poker or other cards games where the characters are gambling and not have that influence their shit, the roguelike that uses playing cards in the same way Go-Fish does definitely shouldn’t be smacked over this.
Fuck EA and all the loot box game makers that don’t get hit with this crap

Its worth noting that it should be low sodium if you go for canned tuna (altho the high potassium that can be there still isn’t great) 1 advantage of even cheap wet cat food over people-canned-fish is the salt. Cats are prone to kidney issues.

Yea, they’re evil enough with the pesticides, and the hostile takeover of farms. We don’t need to make the genetic engineering they’re doing, which is actually good work, to also be thrown under the bus

Yea, I’m looking at this but thinking “that’s not happening lol” with my state. I’m in AZ and anyone outside Phoenix is probably driving at least 2 hours just to get there.
For me: 6 hours in a car with 5000ft (1500m) drop/climb just for a protest that’s vaguely “against Project 2025”. I could never justify it.
