That’s between them and their therapists. It’s even funnier for me because my kids and I (even my wife to a lesser degree) joke around in every conceivable way, bad, good and everything in between, and that’s just how we roll in our family. My kids love it, evidently, me too. I imagine how many people are butthurt by that right now, and can’t stop laughing when I think the images they must have of me in their heads without ever having crossed a word with me.
Let them downvote me to hell, have some overly-delicate mod delete the post, or even ban me (no idea if that’s even a thing here). It won’t change anything.
We’re doomed as humans if all there is ‘I’m offended’ time anyone says anything. It used to be that everything was a joke, now they are the jokes. So sad.

I can work from pretty much anywhere as long as I have a connection, so most of my attires are comprised of PJ pants, opinionated r-shirts and flip flops. Evidently, I have other clothes, but unless my wife wants to go out somewhere that has a strict dress code (and by strict I mean that they won’t let you in unless you’re wearing the bare minimum) I barely wear any of them. Then there’s fully formal requirements, you just won’t see me anywhere near those. I guess I’m old enough to not care at all.

“Innocent children”? Do you have children? Because mine are assholes whose only purpose is to constantly terrorize me and keep me poor. 🤣

And why should I care for what other people decide my attire tells them?

Plus, he is on Linux. It would take him all of 5 minutes to update on the slowest of hardware.

I can wait for any other type of girl if needed, or can do without for the rest of my life. I hope that makes my choice abundantly clear 🤣

I did read, and part of what I said came from that as well. My steam deck has been on bazzite, SteamOS and ChimeraOS, and I’ve never had an issue there either.
To be clear, I’m not saying you’re imagining anything. It could very well be faulty hardware, a BIOS level issue, the downloaded ISOs themselves. The possibilities are endless. But the reality is that I have not had that experience in the Linux world at all, but have had a way worse experience with Windows, and I used to build gaming PCs in my country for a living, with Windows, since XP. Windows is a royal pain in the ass unless you buy the equipment with it preinstalled, and even then, the 1 hour + updates and resources hogging are ridiculous.

What the fuck have you been trying that you have to jump through so many hoops? Hanna-Montana Linux? I get that some distros don’t work with some hardware unless you get down and dirty with some tweaking, but in my case, I only had that issue once with an Alienware laptop and Linux mint, because of the NVIDIA card, but that was 11 years ago. Never again since. How does that compare to having to hunt down drivers to make everything work in windows unless you purchase a computer with windows pre-installed for it to work ‘out of the box’. If you reinstall, good luck with that.
And even if some distros don’t play nice with NVIDIA cards from first install, they will still give you a display to allow you to get it to work correctly, so there’s that.
Honestly, by all means, stay on windows. I’m happy on the penguin side of things, you’re happy on the… whatever that side of the spectrum happens to be right now.

Opens word, goes to file, then open… Can’t remember where the file is located.
Opens file manager, SUCCESS! Uses search instead of spending 1 week looking for the file down 100 subfolders. Right-clicks file, open location 🤔 (yeah, not just open).
Goes back to word by hovering the pointer all the way to the Word icon on the taskbar (because fuck ALT-Tab), navigate to the folder containing the file as found in the file manager. Scroll 11 pages because the files are organized by type. Clicks file, ONCE, clocks open.
Finally, aaaaand…
BSOD 😭

That actually fits the current situation in the United States.
Nobody but the Father knows when these things will happen, all we know is that they will. But it also says there will be signs, and all these look like signs to me (at the expense of sounding like a religious nut).
