Americans like the worst food. They also have completely white bread sandwiches with peanut butter and jelly. Literally just sugar and fat.

jjlinux@lemmy.zip 4 hours agoI could not agree more. This has got to be the most overstated dish ever. The first time I saw it in a restaurant menu, I looked at my wife like we were in the fucking twilight zone.
That shit tastes like over-milked plastic, at best.

What is wrong with peanut butter? Got some on my desk. Approx 50% fat, 26% protein, 5% sugar 5% other carbs, 9% fiber.
Its a high energy density but I usually only add a bit to other foods. Lately that is usually oats, sultanas, peanut butter and milk.

The tinned ones I would agree but if you make it yourself its great. I grew up only ever having home made and then in my 20s got given a tin of it for the first time, it’s terrible.
