- Comment on hmm breakfast 2 hours ago:Europe consists of extreamly different countries… Breakfast in Sweden is completely different from breakfast in Italy. So not sure about what any european stats actually mean…
- Comment on Is it weird to simultaneously feel love and hatred towards parents? 16 hours ago:I think its very complex. You have imperfect parents and you are kids wanting them to be different. So any relationship is not gonna be so easy, until you understand eachother better. That happens at maybe… 20…
- Comment on EA's big AI push is reportedly leading to staff concerns about "flawed code" and setting up your own layoff 2 days ago:Yeah, become a contractor if you can. Its a different budget than they have for employees so no problem getting paid, while employees are given a tiny bag of money every year, distributed to each employee as “the budget for salary increases”. Usually a couple of percent increase, where half goes away as tax. Its such a scam.
- Comment on Here’s what ads on your $2,000 Samsung smart fridge will look like 2 days ago:I was wondering that too… Appearently it has a camera inside and you can connect to it using wifi so you dont have to walk 10 steps to look inside it.
- Comment on EA's big AI push is reportedly leading to staff concerns about "flawed code" and setting up your own layoff 2 days ago:Thats the end goal yeah. Salaries are the most expensive cost for companies.
- Comment on Here’s what ads on your $2,000 Samsung smart fridge will look like 2 days ago:I think in the future, the screen will keep track of whats inside the fridge and be able to create shopping lists and maybe even order things. But right now, I would never pay for it. Its like the wifi i have in my owen. Never connected it but I paid for it since it was included…
- Comment on ‘There isn’t really another choice:’ Signal chief explains why the encrypted messenger relies on AWS 2 days ago:Thats true but what examples is there of successful distributed apps with tons of users?
- Comment on Scientists have been studying remote work for four years and have reached a very clear conclusion: “Working from home makes us thrive” 2 days ago:Its amazing but only because the alternative is so horrible, we really, really appreciate working from home. I think its also having a strong effect om how we are as people. Office culture changes people, into scared little humans who self censor themselves to fit in, and use language they think makes them sound professional. Its a waste of life.
- Comment on Salary negotiations are going well 🙃 3 days ago:Its still just debt slavery under the hood.
- Comment on I'm fine with being stupid 3 days ago:My life now feels complete with this incredibly important piece of information.
- Comment on Albania what are you doing? I thought you just made peace with Aberbaijan??? 3 days ago:Nice to know the world has such amazing leaders. We will be alright!
- Comment on Is it really worth the BS for a couple more years? 3 days ago:How did ordinary people enable it? Because I feel we have absolutely no power to affect anything. Maybe you mean day to day actions like putting ourselves first and ignore strangers.
- Comment on mercy merci 3 days ago:I guess I understand that if they are causing so much problems. Ive never lived in a country where they can actually cause harm to humans and are inside houses.
- Comment on Great to see some actual progress over there 3 days ago:Maybe globalism is the wrong term, yeah.
- Comment on Great to see some actual progress over there 3 days ago:I wonder why that is. Maybe globalism is not so amazing for people living in a rich country. Its probably great for the government though. More tax income, more population.
- Comment on Is it really worth the BS for a couple more years? 4 days ago:But is it really ordinary humans that is the problem? At least in my life, almost all people i meet have good in them. But watching the horrors we call leaders, of both corporations and the world, is ridiculously sad. Maybe we just need to switch our focus away from those people that are put in our face and focus on eachother instead.
- Comment on mercy merci 4 days ago:I guess it depends on what spiders you have there. We have like house spiders here, nothing big or toxic. Harmless.
- Comment on mercy merci 4 days ago:Exactly. Why do people think killing the spider is what you should do? If they do that, they also cant complain if someone kills them for no reason.
- Comment on Great Depression: Part Deux 5 days ago:100% this. Do what you need to do.
- Comment on Great Depression: Part Deux 5 days ago:Yeah. Actually i admire your human spirit. Taking so much crap and still not letting it beat you down. I honestly dont know how it would transform myself if I was subjected to it. You are talking to someone who always had cushy office jobs in IT their entire career, well paid, in Sweden. I havent come close to suffering the way you have in my career.
- Comment on When did people start saying "have a good rest of your day" 5 days ago:Yeah I was thinking this too. Sounds worse than the normal phrase.
- Comment on Great Depression: Part Deux 6 days ago:I also feel deep sadness over it because its just so incredibly unfair and evil.
- Comment on Great Depression: Part Deux 6 days ago:Wtf are you guys eating over there… Jesus christ, I wonder why Americans seem so crazy. Artificial food, artificial media, Artificial work culture… And two weeks vacation, maybe, on a full year of work… What? And still no money in the wallet at the end of the day?
- Comment on Is it possible to be a leftist, but still really enjoy capitalism? 1 week ago:I think this is every system though. Or maybe thats what they want us to think.
- Comment on Counter Strike 2 update wipes nearly $2 billion off skin market value by making fancy knives and gloves easier to get [Eurogamer] 1 week ago:Ok but the game is so full of cheaters its not even worth playing.
- Comment on If I shut off the internet how many days do you think it would take before people lose their minds? 1 week ago:Teenagers may care but adults will be fine.
- Comment on Sad but true 1 week ago:Probably in the future, they will gene manipulate every kid so they all look like models.
- Comment on Is there any way the average American can insulate themselves from the AI bubble bursting? 1 week ago:I think its too late. The dollar lost 15% of its value from beginning of year… It doesnt look like it will go much lower. Its been kind of stuck for the last month.
- Comment on Is there any way the average American can insulate themselves from the AI bubble bursting? 1 week ago:Buy other stocks, not American ones. They will also be affected but not as much. If you are living paycheck to paycheck, you cant do anything.
- Comment on Load bearing Tupperware 1 week ago:Companies need hell of a lot more then virtual machines today. I dont use it personally either but would i recommend a company to buy their own hardware? No. I would say they should use AWS because they can afford it and it gives them access to hundreds of services. Its rare to see technical issues. The value for a company is actually enormous, to have something like that at their fingertips.
