Did some very light searching and it seems to be each country has it’s own thing going on. I know LINE is super popular but it’s mostly only in Japan (and kinda Korea too), while Korea has Kakao Talk. India and SEA region countries apparently love WhatsApp but Telegram does make up the lesser half of the traffic too.
But yeah WeChat and other Chinese apps have huge userbases but are pretty much only used by Chinese people. Hell, each country/region basically just uses their messaging app. Some of these apps have 97-99% of internet users and 90+% of the country’s ENTIRE POPULATION using that app to communicate. It’d probably be devastating if the service ever had a blackout for some reason.
The USA has a way bigger variety it seems, the highest market share for messaging apps is WhatsApp but only at 25%. The top 3 is WhatsApp, Discord (23%), and Telegram (20.8%). The other 30.1% of the market is a mosaic, Messenger, Snapchat, even Teams for some godforsaken reason. But hey, Matrix and Viber are 0.4%! At least they made the chart…

Hell, first poster’s name is a little too on the nose for the post too lol. I mean it COULD be a joke account but not sure. I hate Threads and have never used it, so finding this account is probs to hard for me… Idk what the “tweet/post” layout loojs like on there. Is there a thread logo on the main post and a heart on replies?

I mean, at least for me, Nintendo had actually interesting hardware that made gameplay different than just “use a controller/keyboard”. This is evident in how much mock hardware exists for the DS/3DS, because emulating those games on a single screen fucking sucks (I played KH 358/2 days on PC emulator and despised it). Even when you emulate Wii and WiiU games, using a mouse can’t feel the same as actually holding a Wii remote. Had Nintendo not cheaped out on the Joycons, we would’ve used them and loved it. And obviously the Steam Deck was inspired by the Switch, as consumers themselves say they like being able to play PC games anywhere.
I just worry that going “Pc only” will remove the chances of having creative hardware that actually makes use of it’s form factor when gaming. And just because PC is more free compared to consoles doesn’t mean it’s perfect or will stay that way. Check this blog someone shared recently.

Gen z here, I do use a wallet but many people use these sticky wallets that you slap on the back of your phone case to hold their cards.
I don’t use them because 1. what if something slips out somehow and 2. damn you lose your phone and wallet in one.
We don’t just leave shit hanging loose lol. We still have credit cards and drivers licenses to hold.
- Comment on Physical disc production ending in January 2028 for new games releasing on PlayStation consoles 1 week ago:
Nope, I do know that they still make real, non-keycard, cartridge games, althought I didn’t know they have a policy to make all Nintendo-published games available physically. That’s reassuring for now.
But like you said, that doesn’t solve the issue of most 3rd party games being keycard…
- Comment on Physical disc production ending in January 2028 for new games releasing on PlayStation consoles 1 week ago:
Unfortunately Nintendo’s been on the trend of basically being digital too with those shitty keycards that will cease to work if you didn’t download the game before they eventually cut their servers (or if you try to play it for the first time in a place without wifi)
Nevermind the whole “We can brick your device whenever we feel like it”. I’m genuinely upset because Nintendo has so many IPs that I love and literally can’t play anywhere else. Especially the fact that they actually made interesting and unique hardware like the DS and Wii, which can be a pain to emulate rather than just having a jailbroken console. Plus there’s way more steps invloved with Switch emulation compared to old consoles.
I’ve got a huge game backlog, but I was really looking forward to this year and the next after that Switch 2 direct :(
- Comment on Single player games 1 week ago:
Nintendo is basically the only one who can get me to play multiplayer/online games like Mario Kart or my personal favorite that I did play competively, Splatoon. Literally that’s it. I would get into fighting games if I wasn’t ass because I do want to know more about their storylines, but I feel like a bitch if I just watch it.
The man thing that sets Splatoon apart is the fact that the voice chat is basically non-existant, so you don’t have to hear the endless slurs and rage from your teammates. The characters, plot, music, and art also really set it apart for me, but tbf those can be subjective and applicable to multiple games. But it’s a special game to me and our fanbase is rabid lol.
But yeah I absolutely love and almost solely play singleplayer games. JRPGs ftw!!!

Thankfulky enough, I think Mamdani has stated in some recent interviews that he’s working to make bike lanes actually protected, and just make the city more bike/pedestrian friendly. So things are looking up for them!

I mean, most ge preservation projects, emulators, and bootleg devices aren’t for people who already have those things, it’s for people who never owned them. If my mom wasn’t a gamer and didn’t buy a Vita, I would either have to drop hundreds of dollars to get a real one, or emulate on a device.
So yes, of course your Vita runs well. Now lets check for all the non-Vita devices for those who were toddlers/weren’t born yet?
- Comment on Confirmed: PS5 console prices are being raised by $100 | VGC 3 months ago:
Yup. I wanted to play FF VII Rebirth, but apparently SE can’t be assed to optimize their flagship game for PC, so I stuck with the PS5 version because it just works. I don’t want to deal with stuttering and downloading weird drivers to get it to maybe not stutter. I don’t care about mods and ultimate graphics. I just want to play the game.

I’m playing III Nocturne (PS4 HD Remake) and I’ve never seen this area nor does the game follow a 1st person POV (it’s in 3rd POV), so I’m inclined to say it could be SMT IV (althought I haven’t played it yet). I’m basically at the end of SMT III, so I feel like I would remember this area.
Tbh I thought it was Soul Hackers when I saw the graphics and POV, cause that game is a 1st person POV game where npcs are in the dungeon/overwolrd, and the city is still pre-apocaplyse. Plus that point of Soul Hackers was the phones/tech that lets you go into that digital town. But both SH and SMT IV are 3DS games, so it could be either.

Oh man I gotta try this demo soon. Hopefully thw story and characters are more interesting than Cassette Beasts because I played about 3 hours before being bored and never picking it up again. I just didn’t care fore the world design and people…
But the designs look very nice in this game and the protag has their own personality, which is a bonus, so I think I’ll love it. And I love that they’re recreating how the Pokemon gen 5 battle perspective looked and animated!

You can install Firefox but the version with the more privacy built in called Firefox Focus. It installs an extension called Firefox Focus. It will block ads in Safari and Firefox. You need to enable it under settings > apps > safari > extensions.
Damn, wish I knew this while I was stuck on iOS. I hated Safari and refused to use it so I just lived with ads until I started using NextDNS

Maybe I just havent had the right ones. I’ve had spicy ramyeon, but not the kind that makes me regret my life or just cause pain on my tongue. I HAVE had that pain in the form of max level (5) Indian food and jollof rice, however. Well, I can eat level 5 Indian food without dying, but at that point I’m not enjoying/tasting the flavor as much as I’m just tasting tingles, so I just get level 4 as a haply middle ground.

We barely turned our PS5 on until about a year and a half ago, it was the Switch that was getting all our love. Now we have a Switch 2 we barely touch and the PS5 gets attention cause games are on sale (nobody bought it lol)
I do PC game, but I prefer console because there’s WAY less fiddling and tinkering due to hardware issues or shitty game ports. I was excited for the FFVII steam sale until I saw the reviews complaining about stuttering and performance issues. I prefer a painless, boot-it-up-and-play-immediately experience over modding capability.

The main issue the OP is saying is how tiny the text is, and that it’s hidden in the middle of a sea of text. You only take medicine when you’re feeling like shit, so having to squint and find information that is vital to your health is a tad annoying. RIP to anyone with dyslexia, poor eyesight, hangover/drunk, etc. trying to read these labels quickly or in pain.
