All of these companies keep looking for places they can get an inch more. Sometimes it backfires, but other times it succeeds and gets normalized.
- Comment on Player Spends $32,000 on NBA 2K25 in Just Five Months 1 week ago:
What’s worse is that despite him spending $32,000, he’s still not obtained all of the best cards in the game.
This is ok, but balatro is gambling.
NBA 2K26 also releases on Setpember 5, 2025, which will make all of his purchases pretty useless if he was to move on to the next game.
bruh

Do secret joke endings count? In Hitman 3 you can choose to not kill the last evil guy, which causes you to wake up in the very first game from 2000.

- Comment on Developer survey shows trust in AI coding tools is falling as usage rises 2 weeks ago:
Probably depends on what you do. I haven’t used AI autocomplete myself, so I can’t talk from experience, but what I had in mind was the somewhat repetitive work I’ve been doing recently with gui widgets. I expect an LLM to get that mostly right.
- Comment on Developer survey shows trust in AI coding tools is falling as usage rises 2 weeks ago:
The only use for LLM in coding is as an alternative search bar for stackoverflow
I’d argue it can also be useful as a form of autocomplete, or writing whatever boilerplate code; that still isn’t outsourcing your thinking to the text predictor.

Code blocks are for displaying raw text, ignoring all formatting.

Adolf Hitler was a controversial german politician. He is considered in large part responsible for the second world war, and especially the holocaust.
Hitler is generally considered a quite bad person, and it is a common trope to use a time machine to go back in time and kill him before he rises to power.
The other one is Grant Imahara, but he doesn’t need explanation as everybody knows mythbusters.

It’s not asking much, but knowing game companies, it’s still asking too much. But that wouldn’t fix it anyway.
- Comment on Eksbawks 4 weeks ago:
What I got is that they’re trying to move to OEMs, like windows PCs. Either way, switching to a PC platform seems doomed, because who would choose that when Steam exists.

That’s the expectation. It’d be surprised if it makes it and then yet again if it’s good. I’ve already accepted that the series is done, so I guess I can only be positively surprised, which is nice.

If you’re the kind of person who already uses keepass, probably nothing. Most of the time it’s best to just recommend bitwarden and not mention keepass, because the ux and auto sync make it better for average skilled users and the lazy.
