They make good points until this bullshit:
But if video games are ever going to be taken seriously as an artistic medium, they have to grow up, and that means learning how to love authentically.
No. That take is horseshit. They don’t have to do anything to be taken seriously as art. They already are. If you can’t see it because it doesn’t tick some of your boxes that’s a you issue.
- Comment on Fighting games have a product design problem 17 hours ago:
I don’t really play fighting games anymore but previous titles like SF Ex+Alpha had a killer training mode which scratched my completionist itch. There were scores and gates and orogressions, though I can’t recall if you got anything like XP (in truth that bares no relevance to a fighting game anyway).

They become cheap if you’re patient enough.

That reminds me I need to login and transfer some funds to my fleet carrier, if it hasn’t already defaulted. Love the game but shallow depth for sure :(

My kind of vegetable-less meal.

I feel like there’s been a dip. Historical photos show people looking old as fuck but really they’re young. Millenials sort of changed that. Now gen-z is reverting.

Yeah the first was alright, like a small scale Bethesda game with pretty ok gunplay. I got my copy for free (thanks epic) but it still wasn’t enough to interest me to buy the second.

There will be a demand but I wouldn’t bet on that demand being the most popular.

You don’t. If you’re serious about weight loss you need to commit long term.

This is so wrong it hurts. Your body cannot synthesize muscle from fat.

I have a hard time making conclusive statements in various subjects precisely because of how many unknowns there are. And the more I learn the larger that discrepancy grows. I am utterly baffled how anyone can be a politician and make these broad general statements as if they’re fact on multiple topics all at once. Then people eat it up and build identities around it. I feel like I’m crazy.

In my 20+ years in the corporate world now it seems that everything is just a sale. Every transaction (business to business, business to consumer, employee to business, employee to employee) is a sales pitch. The quality of the transaction matters less than the sale itself.

Fake news. We replaced over 99% of the mass of the entire solar system with LEDs.

That would disqualify the gas giants. I think the criteria needs workshopping…

Honestly curious why you believe otherwise. Termination without cause is absolutely allowed, and again, comes with legal provisions for the employee. In Ontario, Canada, for example, this manifests in severance pay.
I’m not super well versed in EU practices so perhaps it’s even more strict but fundamentally if a company cannot afford to retain an employee they must have the ability to let them go.

You can’t exactly force a company to employ someone. Even in a pro-labor-rights country the employer would be free to terminate. The termination would come with all sorts of employee benefits of course.

It is exactly replacing work. Your argument is easy to extend to teams of one solo developer who has finite time and money and it’s easy to see the appeal of AI in general.
I’m also in the AI isn’t that bad camp but it’s pretty clear here they used AI, and rightfully disqualified.
