I had a roomie that played lol. After a month of not having a job and looking very scruffy he emerged from his filthy bedroom and gave me a grocery list. We were on good terms until I told him he had an addiction.
- Comment on Luv Me Chips, 'ate Seagulls... 3 weeks ago:
I grew up with seagulls (well, lake gulls) and they weren’t a bother. Then I visited the actual seaside… I wondered why there weren’t more chip stands serving seagull meat.

Fat Tom Hanks is the only one without a moustache. He didn’t stand a chance.
- Comment on All this produce is going to spoil at the food bank where I volunteer 3 weeks ago:
There isn’t a food shortage. There are significant problems of wastage created by marketing value and poor distribution. Many solutions have been brought up over the years. To deaf ears. Because your local grocer needs to put 1000 tomatoes out to mostly rot because it looks aesthetically pleasing.
- Comment on Only $50? 3 weeks ago:
You can clone. What’s important is that you ask yourself if you should. I’m not sure we need any more casual couch squirters.
- Comment on British photojournalist hit during Los Angeles protests to undergo emergency surgery 3 weeks ago:
Let me make a correction: bullets, they’re bullets. You never point a gun at something or someone that you don’t intend on destroying. Guns are tools. They have a purpose. If you’re running after a turkey with a hand saw you’ve lost your fucking mind. If you are shooting people exercising the same rights you have then it’s about the same. For fuck sake, they had to change the definition from “non-lethal” to “less than lethal” to avoid murder charges. Of which, there were many.

Microsoft in a nutshell. In 2015 they realized they had it right in 1995 but still elected to change it. Morons.
- Comment on Anon watches a romance movie 3 weeks ago:
It’s usually “we have gotten bad at sex” and there’s no conversation about it. Maybe it wasn’t meant to be. Talk about and figure it out. Then leave. Don’t be a fucking dipshit about it.

I went to college for horticulture four years ago. They still use this confusing rhetoric.
- Comment on Hell 3 weeks ago:
It almost never is. Plus I probably have to write the info down anyways so just send me a text. If you have to call to explain it, I’ll call you.

If only you had learned to tell time.

My cousin had his done for like $3000 several years ago. No issues. He actually has surprisingly good vision.
- Comment on Correct Grindr Response 4 weeks ago:
In its hay day I would have killed for that.
P.S. my auto-correct wants me to say “have gotten killed for that”. Yet again, I’m the victim.
- Comment on My mom tells me I should cut dad off for cheating on her, am I a bad person for not wanting to do so? 4 weeks ago:
If you’re close with your dad you can ask him why. He has to explain himself. It’s likely he will explain things that he didn’t want to. There is the issue. If they filed, civilly, for divorce and then this happened, I know it would still be upsetting, but he did things in the wrong order. You can love someone who’s done something shitty. However, it’s their responsibility to provide you with an explanation. Just don’t make the same mistakes he did. Ever again. I’m so sorry. Please go out and get a nice supper. It might help.
- Comment on Why do some people say "I wouldn't want a government to dictate what I eat"? This would mean they'd be against food safety regulations, would it not? 4 weeks ago:
I come from a dynasty of educators. I cannot emphasize that enough. At Christmas I had to explain what a molecule was. Amongst them were several teachers and administrative individuals.
- Comment on Pull to enter, you say? 4 weeks ago:
There are (still) a surprising amount of people that only ever saw and understood one mechanism 30-50 years ago.
- Comment on Kid gave a reasonable answer without all the math bullshit 4 weeks ago:
I’m actually not sure this is real. I’ve had some shitty abusive teachers but even they would be capable of basic logic.

I don’t think wizards of the coast is run by DND fans.

Niel Degrass Tyson does. He apparently juggles his phone constantly so that he gets used to not dropping it.

I honestly wish this was still the case. There doesn’t seem to be as much training in customer service anymore. Half of the things I get told over the phone these days were a fire-able offence when I worked support.

Hey buddy! We never did this in scouts but that’s such a good idea. When I was in college my roommates and I could have used such a service. I actually just posted that there are people making a living off of combing the ditches and parks for empties. Bottle/can returns is a whole economy.
- Comment on Amazing. 4 weeks ago:
They do deposit returns where I live. So you get them cents back for every can. There are people that make a couple of hundred bucks a month picking cans out of the ditches. There’s like what? $50 in this picture? Either way he could have those gone in an hour for free if he knows a homeless person.
