Everyone who argues against PT essentially says “I can’t use it [so nobody should]”.

Blow their minds with this one weird trick:

“If everyone else is on a bus, you get the road to yourself!”

I’d like to make an argument. Everywhere I have ever lived, other residents have mentioned that their area’s drivers are the worst in the world.

Following that, I don’t believe that humans should be driving. Decent public transit is the barest necessity for improving the life quality of average workers.

I’ve never heard anyone say that here, but apparently our drivers exams are some of the hardest in the world. From what I’ve seen, in a lot of places drivers education is quite bad. There will always be morons though, but if you stop people from driving because of that a lot of jobs become impossible to do for a lot of people. I don’t think it’s feasible to expect a plumber or electrician to take all their tools on the bus.

Regarding the last part of your comment, you’re right, but on the other side there are lots and lots of jobs that need little to no equipment :)

Be careful not to lean over a little and look in the rearview mirror. You might spot one.

    Hehe gottem.

Just this morning I had someone pull across the road in front of me as I was cycling to work and almost hit me. Fortunately the traffic was slow and I had time to brake or her car would have a much larger dent in the passenger door from me kicking it to avoid going into it head first.

When public transit is sufficiently developed only the morons and enthusiasts will remain on the road.

  • cinoreus@lemmy.world ⁨7⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

It means you’re now boarding with the same moron, facing him everyday.

Perfect win, now he’s at a punchable distance

I want to see the relative percentage of morons on the road who are also driving busses to skyrocket. So same am I not!
