Technically speaking, there is more to being a member of Congress than being in Congress and debating/voting. There is a lot they do for local constituents.
That said, a lot of what they do is certainly fundraising… of various kinds. And running for office. So I’m not saying the claims are totally false by any means. But it’s not quite as bad as that makes it look. Only mostly as bad or so.
Yeah, we know, dipshit. Calling it out doesn’t actually do anything.
I suspect a whole lot of people don’t know this.
This plus he lost his seat by standing up to the pedo turd with his support to have the Epstein Files released, so I guess that bought him some goodwill. And whoever Diaper Donny got to replace him with will not just be republican, but inner death cult loyal to dear leader.
That last part is what people don’t understand about why you can’t get rid of him with elections anymore. The parasite took over half of the us political spectrum.
The fact that this community is upvoting Thomas Massie blows my mind. What a great idea to amplify the voice of this union buster!
Hey pal, i see you everywhere in the last two weeks. You’d do really well to not try to turn this into another reddit. All I see you do is instigate. It’s a great talent, but use it on us vs the Epstein class not “this community this and that community that”.
This community isn’t upvoting Thomas Massie, just that he wrote is what resonates with people.

Keep basing politics on people and party lines rather than on substance… that way, we’ll definitely move forward as a society and won’t end up divided and paralyzed because “he said that, so it must be wrong.” It’s been working perfectly in the U.S. for decades now, and of course it’s not at all the reason for the shitty situation the country finds itself in right now. /s

The reason Massie is calling this out is because he is trying to get a discharge petition (a process that allows a bill to get to the floor for a vote despite a Speaker’s blockade) going for the Epstein Files Transparency Act II, and Mike “I Protect Presidential Pedos” Johnson can’t let him do it because votes are public.
So Mike Johnson is keeping Congress out until the day after the midterms because he can’t let his delicate snowflakes go on record as either voting for the act (which will make Trump very angry) or voting against it (which will make sentient beings with active consciences very angry).
It’s that simple. Yeah, Massie’s a Republican. But he’s literally trying to do the right thing here, and it’s working so well that Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House, is choosing to fucking shut down Congress than let a vote on EFTA II come to the floor.
