It’s very ritualistic, however. Walking into the gas station together is the first level, where the white boy will intentionally separate from you once inside. They will approach after 5 minutes to judge your selection. If you are judged worthy, then you may go to the next level.
At the second level, you can go with to the energy drinks, but you must allow the white boy to select their drink first. They will hold the door for you though, as this is as much a show of dominance as it is a gesture of acceptance. It’s sacrilegious to get your drink first, and will prevent you from reaching the inner circle.
To reach the inner circle, you must get the white boy their preferred energy drink without their presence. Once this task is complete, the white boy will be a devoted ally and you become deemed as a coveted “one of the good ones”
