Man, it’s fascinating how corporations just cannot win this one and have too participate wether they like it or not.
-Don’t react to pride month=> ok fuck you too buddy.
-react to pride month=> shut up corp.
-go all out=> ok that’s just distasteful and disingenuous somehow.
-keep it subtle=> oh I see you’re trying not to alienate the pedoservatives too much.
Run adds like normal during a pandemic, when the planet is on fire, when fascism turns it’s ugly head, during genocides, … keep on trucking assholes. It makes em look like massive tonedeaf hypocrites and I think it’s spectacular.

Not profitable right now with Trump in office.
For most of these megacorps, it was never about the movement, it was the PR and brand loyalty.
Right now, more people are against it than for it, so that’s what’ll bring in the most revenue.

That last statement is not true—at least not in the US. Pro-LGBTQ sentiment is declining, but there’s still significantly more support than opposition.
