are there any stories (real/fictional) where a relatively brutal invader was less brutal than the people they ousted and somehow they are considered liberating heroes, and the public is ok with their repressive policies because they are better than before. and the leader is trying to keep the evil lotd vibes going on but he’s beloved by the public.
feel like it would make for great comedy.

probably because your too old and don’t look like his daughter.

yhea, probably not for this exact case.
however, getting your condition ignored into you are desperate and so something stupid only to them be made fun of isn’t a solution either.
hope he’s ok now,

no doubt he wasn’t the brightest bulb beforehand.
you never know what stupid thing will do when you’re desperate enough.
if anything, I’m holding his medical team responsible if he got that desperate.
unless he’s actually stupid enough to ignore all the good advice and gone straight to the stupid desperate stuff first.

they got hit with severe pain out of nowhere.
it’s funny when I had regular migraines and still have stuff to do but have to do them in pain. but when my partner got one she called an ambulance and thought she was dying…
she didn’t learn about empathy that day, I still had to mow them lawn with a migraine. because having a silly headache isn’t a real excuse.

as a man who went to university, and had women in my class, never had a negative reaction like that when trying to talk to girls about whatever is relevant.
never tried to pick up girls in class either.

as a Jewish person, yes, it should be.
we aren’t doing animal sacrifices to account for sins anymore, we can get rid of circumcisions. or make them optional for adults.

you missed my point.
it works because the intended purpose is to shift blame and avoid any actual regulations/policies that will actually solve the problem.
they work because the intended purpose is to increase profits and fuck over everyone

doesn’t count as a true Scotsman fallacy if I assume they aren’t really progressive.
but you can’t be progressive if you have an issue with queer people or anyone bending gender boundaries.

good news, those red flags are getting out of your way.
better then gone than polluting your potential partner pool.
- Comment on Anon thinks there is a bicurious double standard 1 week ago:
if they do that, they aren’t really “progressive”.

they 100% work.
that’s why they do it.
they make sure to shift the blame, to make sure the system remains unchanged and people who are profiting from what is basically omniside keep profiting from killing the planet and everyone in it.

next interesting question, how would a 3d object look if we map it to a 3d Hilbert curve, and unfold to a 2d hilbert curve.
would properties of the original object be visible, IE, if we use a sphere, would the projection look like a circle?
if the sphere is only a shell and it’s empty inside, would the Hilbert projection show it?
or would the information be scrambled beyond recognition?
- Comment on HYDRAULIC PRESS TIME 2 weeks ago:
actually.
the projection loses a lot of information. whole a compression technically maps a 3d object into a 2d space,
are there mathematical way to do a “squish” projection?
