  Because the entire house of cards is built upon these lies and fake public personas. With Trump for example, think about how many millions of people support him despite him being a complete stranger to them. This support exists because of what they feel when they think of Trump and these lies are designed to make them feel that way. The same is true for all politicians.

  There is actually a popular book that answers this kind of question: “The Dictator’s Handbook: Why Bad Behavior is Almost Always Good Politics”

  I haven’t read it, but from summaries, my understanding is that the answer to your question is that every high ranking office depends on maintaining support from other people with power. Even if we disregard voters, Trump (and other presidents) need to keep generals, oligarchs, and senators happy, or they can remove him from power. Naked disrespect for the rabble displeases these people, because they’re still sensitive to assassinations, market disruptions, challenges from other power centers like state governments, etc.

  The actors? That would be the Freemasons of the 33rd and higher degrees that they control, as they’re also Jesuit too.

  Because they are the ones in power. Whatever they say is the “official” version. Therefore, the correct one.

  If the media says something different from the government, that’s because the media is leftist propaganda.

  Take into account how stupid the median person is, then realize half the people is stupider than that. It’s not hard to convince them to vote against their best interest, you just have to lie.

  Humanity hates honesty. 80% of us are theists ffs. Feels over reals. You need only sell them a dream to win their support. Even if it reeks of bulkshit that’s still preferred over reality for a lot of people.

  In order to be honest you need a Jesus-like or maybe even good Samaritan level of discipline for longer than you’ve probably even wanted to be in politics to avoid the media being able to cut you down if you’re not one of their preferred candidates, and if you’re honest you’re just simply not.

  Zorhan is probably as close as I’ve seen to someone who accepts tough questions and responds with honesty. He’s basically a saint though and that’s not very common. Even considering that they’re going after his wife. Honesty, in short, is not rewarded with our political and media-driven landscape, unless you make them look stupid just by virtue of the nothing burgers they bring to bear. Otherwise you’re better off giving the razzle dazzle and moving on.

    Even without democracy, power depends on the will of the in group to not conspire and kill the ruler. Every strong man knows this. They must keep the appearances or some other stronger person could gain the will to challenge and break them.

  One time we decided a guy was not fit to be president because he laughed a weird way, he had seemingly everything else going for him until that point where he had this sudden point of very human behavior. People are fickle and weird.
