- Comment on Would people like a "X posts per Y" rate limit for this community? 5 hours ago:
Maybe just for one user in particular…
- Comment on How come people have so called "sex addiction"? So much they have rehab places for it. Why not just masturbate and be done with it? 3 days ago:
That makes zero sense on Lemmy where its so easy to create new accounts and karma isn’t tracked. Furthermore, it’s extremely clear based on your style of writing that nobody else is using this account.
- Comment on What are your favourite PSP games? 3 days ago:
I just got a new battery and screen for my Darth Vader PSP2000 just to play this but have been struggling because the audio is so terrible which makes it difficult to hear the beat over the other sound effects. I had to try three different pairs of modern headphones to find one that even worked and yet the audio is still so hard to hear. IIRC the original earbud that came with it was a mono piece (just one ear) so maybe I need to buy an amp or something. Or perhaps its the 30 years of hearing abuse I’ve subjected myself to in the interim that is the culprit.

This is the person who claimed to work as a medical professional (and also a coder) but doesn’t even have an elementary level understanding of addiction? How interesting.
- Comment on Nintendo Responds To Tariff Refunds Lawsuit, Tells Customers They "Got What They Bargained For" 4 days ago:
People need not be mad at Nintendo, this issue was caused by the pedophile in chief.
I’m in total agreement here, except for the fact that this is a separate issue. Nintendo didn’t bring about the tariffs but they are the ones asking for the refund and deciding not to give it back to the people who paid that money in the first place, so while they aren’t to blame for the tariffs, they are to blame for keeping the tariff refunds.

Its so cathartic to read this after dealing with the exact same bullshit with my own employer. Management has no clue what is actually going on, but refuses to listen to us peons because they’ve ‘made it’ to middle management so obviously they know better than all of us always.
- Comment on Two ICE agents in plain clothes punched and tried to handcuff an Australian man at Las Vegas Airport. When they saw they were being filmed, they quickly left. 1 week ago:
Yeah they made him look like the worlds biggest simp as he’s still trying to block the people recording without realizing that these two “agents” have already booked it out of there right behind his back.
- Comment on Do both games & consoles cost more in the US when you factor in both sales tax and minimum wage? 1 week ago:
You should see how much games used to cost. Here is a catalog from 1992:
That $59.99 copy of Sim City is the equivalent to $142 today.
- Comment on I say this as an ex-coder, but is it possible to ask for a paper ballot instead of using the stupid machines when voting? 1 week ago:
Ah Jesus christ this comment made me go back and check which user had posted this. Why am I not surprised?
- Comment on Which version of the Switch 2 should I purchase despite them being the exact same? 1 week ago:
That’s great. Game on whatever you want but don’t act like you’re not getting in bed with the devil regardless of which platform you’re using. Let other people enjoy what they like too.
- Comment on Which version of the Switch 2 should I purchase despite them being the exact same? 1 week ago:
As opposed to game killers Sony and Microslop or PC hardware manufacturers price gouging everyone? You can’t participate in the industry without giving your money to one shitty corporation or another. At least Nintendo has consistently good game releases.
- Comment on If someone was shrunk down to the size of an ant would they be able to make a little ant sized campfire with the same principles? Does it scale like that? 2 weeks ago:
Even a broccoli haircut?
- Comment on [deleted] 2 weeks ago:
All of OPs talk about being “self absorbed” and “not caring about how they affect others” really sounds like projection to me.
- Comment on Mitch McConnel's Wikipedia page has been heavily edited the last few days, with the last ones being 4 hours ago. So around 1PM EST. What could that mean? 2 weeks ago:
Or we can just say “undead.”
- Comment on What do you think of the posting of easily searched questions here? 2 weeks ago:
Mostly I don’t care, but I will make an exception for that certain user who loves to post their most inane thoughts and queries here 20 times a day every single day.
- Comment on The same adult daughter who has trouble loading a dishwasher efficientlyly... 2 weeks ago:
Little Caesars is surprisingly good for the price. Id put them above Domino’s for sure though I do like their pan pizza too.

Is this a very thinly veiled way to ask how to launder money at a discount?
- Comment on I am someone who works out daily and sweats a lot. Just doing laundry doesn't seem to adequately clean the underarms of my shirts. What are some ways to clean these areas of my clothing better? 3 weeks ago:
Just a heads up that laundry stripping will not remove antiperspirant stains. I’m going through this with my white undershirts and after doing a stripping treatment the shirts came out pristine except for the waxy buildup on the pits.
- Comment on why does crossing legs increase blood pressure? 3 weeks ago:
The whole thing is a circuit so increased pressure in one place means increased pressure everywhere in the circuit.
- Comment on Is using an ssd as a cache to speed up a harddrive still a thing? 3 weeks ago:
I think it is still a thing, but I dont know if this is the right application for it. IIRC the benefit comes when storing lots of data as the SSD acts like a buffer to quickly store data while it slowly transfers to the HDD. For gaming, you’ll still need to be reading from the HDD in real time meaning the SSD isn’t going to be helping much.
- Comment on Why don't urban/suburban streets and roads use a center storm channel? 3 weeks ago:
Just my educated guesses as a layman, but I agree with what others are saying in that a center channel would lead to more flooding in the streets. Side drains won’t flood streets or homes (unless its an actual flood) as both are elevated above said drains. Side drains also give 2x the holding capacity which further helps reduce water pooling on the road.
Additionally, having it in the center of the road means any maintenance done on said drains is going to block both lanes of travel, and even if it doesnt, would put workers in a very dangerous working position.
- Comment on If I went to a mechanic for my car and told them I had a problem with the aft starboard tire would they think I'm a dork? 4 weeks ago:

- Comment on True or false: reading and studying socialist theory can help unrot your brain from ChatGPT and other AI chatbots. 1 month ago:
Sounds a lot like “Christianity will help you through your addiction/divorce/family death”
I don’t see anything inherent to socialist theory that would push people away from LLMs.

- Comment on To quote a movie: Why is it when a person in the military dies we feel some sympathy for, but if someone killed a mayor or senator everyone loses their minds? 1 month ago:
Its a double standard perpetuated by institutional corruption and a powerful police union.

- Comment on Local news did an entire segment featuring a guy who's mad about having to drive more carefully. 1 month ago:
I live on a dead end residential street and have big box trucks come through all the time for deliveries. There’s also the garbage/recycling/yard debris trucks that come through every week.
- Comment on Local news did an entire segment featuring a guy who's mad about having to drive more carefully. 1 month ago:
My sneaking suspicion is that they make things like these or medians almost invisible on purpose to piss people off and make the situation worse, so that they can then point to the idea of “safer road design” as a failure and go back to the old way.
- Comment on On an emergency power supply with AC and DC electrical plugs, which do I use to charge or power appliances? 1 month ago:
The “charger bricks” for some of your electronics convert AC to DC for you, but trying to bypass them “for efficiency” has a high probability of ending poorly.
Like plugging your charging cable into a USB port instead of a wall outlet? There’s no danger there.
