Lmao was your previous comment genuine? I assumed it was some top tier sarcasm/wordplay
- Comment on How come hypothetically if I make meth in my home. Knowing full well it could explode and take out my neighbors houses, why am I not charged with attempted murder? 1 week ago:
Seems like you answered your own question.
We had a week long power outage after a winter ice storm a few years ago and would have been screwed without our gas water heater and fireplace, so I’m a big fan of having both gas and electric.
- Comment on Video Game Physical Software and Hardware Sales Just Had the Worst November in the U.S. Since 1995 - IGN 1 week ago:
Those are all physical devices though. I agree platform exclusives aren’t good for anyone but the companies but it does seem like most are moving away from that model with these newer generation consoles.
- Comment on Video Game Physical Software and Hardware Sales Just Had the Worst November in the U.S. Since 1995 - IGN 2 weeks ago:
I don’t think its necessarily the prices that are the issue but what you’re getting for it. Games have historically not kept up with inflation and still cost less than what we were paying for SNES carts in the 90s, but now they’re the 15th sequel of some franchise and are only half finished so there isn’t much draw for customers.
- Comment on The show I was watching went from "Free" to "Paid" *while I was watching it* 2 weeks ago:
It was still the same back then, it was just done via network TV channels instead of streaming channels.
- Comment on The show I was watching went from "Free" to "Paid" *while I was watching it* 2 weeks ago:
Because music streaming services compete (for the most part) based on experience and features not content. This happened after the market plummeted for music sales. TV and movies are still in the stage where everyone is competing with content by having exclusives while their services suck dick with few features, horrible UX, and ads. Im sure at some point they’ll go the route of music and games where youre not forced to sign up to a specific service to see a specific show, but who knows when that’ll happen.

Roadside breath tests arent admissible in court because they aren’t certified testing devices. Only the one at the station with a record of maintenance is admissible.
- Comment on [deleted] 3 weeks ago:
Field sobriety tests are complete pseudoscience and only exist to gain evidence against you not to prove you’re sober. You should never consent to them and if an officer asks you to take one you’re already going to jail regardless.

Oh I wonder if this is the same guy who’d tag a GPL license onto the end of his comments as if this were Facebook and they’re telling Mark Zuckerberg that he doesn’t have permission to use their comments.
- Comment on What's the name of this 80s song sang by a solo female singer? I only remember her saying "nothing really maaaa-tters" or "nothing truly maaaatt-ers". Has a vibe like I Feel For You by Chaka Kahn 1 month ago:
Oh good, this was the song I kept playing in my head while reading OPs description and now I can stop racking my brain trying to figure out what it was.
- Comment on How do i get my nails to stop stinking faster 1 month ago:
Don’t they have UV nail polish and could that contain different chemicals that dont stink as badly? I’m out of my element here.
- Comment on Why would a company force you to use a rental car instead of your own for a drive to the office/Christmas party? 2 months ago:
In the US they only reimburse around $0.50/mile (last I knew from several years ago) so it’d have to be a killer deal to be cheaper for rentals than reimbursement. OP did reference kilometers, but I imagine the reimbursement rate is similar wherever you are.

- Comment on Star Trek Collectibles Roundup — TOS Toys Return, Academy Boots, 23rd Century Adventures, and EXO-6 Enters the Kelvin Timeline 2 months ago:
I just wish their merch were as sexy as Star Wars merch so that fans could better show their appreciation for the franchise. Currently everything is still quite “nerdy” while “normies” walk around happily in Star Wars t-shirts
- Comment on Star Trek Collectibles Roundup — TOS Toys Return, Academy Boots, 23rd Century Adventures, and EXO-6 Enters the Kelvin Timeline 2 months ago:
How about those rumors of a LEGO Enterprise??? Nobody wants action figures anymore, and I can’t see the average person wanting Starfleet Academy cosplay attire. Why has Star Trek historically had the absolute worst merchandise available?
- Comment on Does Coke Zero taste different in the UK vs. the USA? 2 months ago:
They’re sweeter because they use high fructose corn syrup where as other places like Mexico still use cane sugar. To get a good Coke in the US, you have to go to a Mexican market or taco truck and get it in a glass bottle. We have a gluttony of corn here so it gets forced into everything from plastic to gasoline to soda.
- Comment on Is there any way of trying Battlefield 6 without buying it or paying £17 for a 1 month EA Play Pro subscription? 2 months ago:
You want to host a PvP game server but not if it requires an internet connection? Who would you be playing against without an internet connection?
- Comment on Why is it "shower thoughts" and not "shitter thoughts"? 2 months ago:
Good point. This makes the entire rest of Lemmy the “shitter thoughts” umbrella community as thats where everyone is posting and commenting from.
- Comment on Has anyone Pooped in the shower? 2 months ago:
That’s why you keep a shit bucket by the back door for when it’s too frigid to get to the outhouse.
- Comment on Has anyone Pooped in the shower? 2 months ago:
What kind of emergency would there be where you’re in a shower but can’t make it to a toilet? They’re almost universally right next to each other.
- Comment on Is Star Trek Discovery that bad? 2 months ago:
TOS does but the 80s/90s series not so much.
- Comment on do you use non violent communication at the workplace? 3 months ago:
Tribalism has run rampant. Stuff like this is fairly innocuous if a bit much. When people get militant about it then it becomes a problem.

- Comment on My credit union no longer allows me to payoff pending purchases made on my credit card 3 months ago:
Sounds like someone is fraudulently using your debit card comment and reaping all the benefits. This wouldn’t have happened if you’d used a credit card comment instead.
- Comment on [deleted] 3 months ago:
I’m really interested in hearing your explanation for how it’s any different.
OP claims this stalker is also reciting facts from their public comments in an attempt to antagonize them too. I suppose you feel it’s okay for you to do it though since you seem to think you’re on some sort of moral high ground and “it’s different when I do it,” “this person really deserves it,” or whatever justification you need to tell yourself to clear the cognitive dissonance.
- Comment on [deleted] 3 months ago:
I’ve understood it quite well thank you. I would also be quite embarrassed making a chain of comments like yours, so I also understand why you’re now deflecting away from the topic and pretending like we’re talking about something else.

What’s your point, that you’ll gladly sacrifice your stated beliefs, completely contradicting everything you said previously, if you think it will help you win an argument? You should be a politician.
It’s hilarious how flippant you are here about calling the police or “Jerry” when you were previously so adamant about that being the best way for this woman to protect herself, proving exactly why that was a nonsense solution to begin with. Congratulations for completely demolishing your argument all on your own.
