- Comment on True or false: reading and studying socialist theory can help unrot your brain from ChatGPT and other AI chatbots. 1 day ago:
Sounds a lot like “Christianity will help you through your addiction/divorce/family death”
I don’t see anything inherent to socialist theory that would push people away from LLMs.

What type of insurance pays you to eat Hot Pockets? Is it some protracted form of birth control by the insurance company?

It’s the type of questions and rapid frequency of posts every single day that has everyone digging through your history.

Its a double standard perpetuated by institutional corruption and a powerful police union.

I live on a dead end residential street and have big box trucks come through all the time for deliveries. There’s also the garbage/recycling/yard debris trucks that come through every week.

My sneaking suspicion is that they make things like these or medians almost invisible on purpose to piss people off and make the situation worse, so that they can then point to the idea of “safer road design” as a failure and go back to the old way.
- Comment on On an emergency power supply with AC and DC electrical plugs, which do I use to charge or power appliances? 1 week ago:
The “charger bricks” for some of your electronics convert AC to DC for you, but trying to bypass them “for efficiency” has a high probability of ending poorly.
Like plugging your charging cable into a USB port instead of a wall outlet? There’s no danger there.
- Comment on On an emergency power supply with AC and DC electrical plugs, which do I use to charge or power appliances? 1 week ago:
You can use DC for electronics like a phone. You just remove the wall plug portion and use the cable by itself. This should help conserve power since you aren’t converting AC into DC, but if thats not a concern, you can use either.
- Comment on How much did drug test cost back in the day? I just took one from an independent drug test guy and he does them at 45 dollars per person and earns about 15k a month. Y wasn't the done sooner? 1 week ago:
I swear to god OP must be a malfunctioning bot or something with all these posts. They are describing piss tests in the OP but then they reply as if they’re talking about testing the drugs themselves. It makes no sense.

It doesnt. It just shows you the new week starting on Sunday. OP is doing the equivalent of printing out an email to scan it back into the computer and send to others. Similar to navigating to Bing.com and typing “google” into the search bar.

- Comment on Is there any such thing as "edutainment" shows for adults? 2 weeks ago:
There’s an anime called Dr. Stone that mildly touches on this. People are frozen in stone for thousands of years and when they begin to break out, a scientist shows them how to identify and use resources to replicate our modern tools

No, they definitely have a point about Ben’s lackadaisical personality at times.
I have watched every video available on the topic including Part 2 and fully support Ben, but I think he creates roadblocks for himself by not taking things seriously. Like when speaking to the Keizer PD and showing them the specific laws being broken by BAM, but while dressed up like a cartoon character. Police didn’t take him seriously and treated him like a joke because that’s how he was portraying himself, so they considered it nothing more than a trespassing call and told him to leave, ignoring all the true facts he was telling them.
Another example is him literally stating into the camera at the end of Pt 2 that he knew he had another warrant issued against him and that’s why he fled the country to Mexico. This is an extremely stupid thing to admit on camera (if true) and can’t possibly lead to anything other than additional harm to him and his friends. It may play well for YouTube but it makes him and his case look terrible in the eyes of the people with the power to fix this.
At this point, he needs to be talking to civil rights attorneys but what good will that do when he has a valid charge out there for fleeing? If he gets arrested in Utah with no bail again, what will the judge say when the prosecutor plays the footage of him admitting to a serious crime? The best way to demonstrate how terrible the other side is, is by being above reproach yourself to show the stark contrast between you two.
- Comment on Bricks and Minifigs Corporate and Police Coverup 2 weeks ago:
I think he deserves the $8 on the patreon, but you can still find links to part 2 in places like the /r/Lego megathread. Its on YouTube just as an “unlisted” video but still accessible through a URL.
- Comment on I was the only one who thought this of Erica Ortega was non-binary or trans? 2 weeks ago:
I’m sure this is a cultural/language thing, but saying you “felt like a fool” sounds pretty odd. Nobody is trying to trick you here. These people are just living their lives and working as actors. Their gender identity shouldn’t really matter toward the character or story unless the show wants to specifically highlight it like in the case of DSC.
- Comment on I was the only one who thought this of Erica Ortega was non-binary or trans? 2 weeks ago:
Doubt why? Unless they are actually labeling her as trans or non-binary in the show there shouldn’t be any reason to doubt what she presents herself as. In Discovery they had a non-binary character (Adira) and addressed it head-on before SNW was even airing.

After reading so much hate on Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft for years, especially over their pricing, its somewhat hilarious to see only one or two comments out of dozens here calling out the high price of this handheld console.
Like Nintendo raised the price of the Switch 2 by $50 to a whopping $499 and people will mock and berate you if you say you bought one.

I can still play games on my 13 year old PS4, 20 year old Xbox 360, 30 year old N64, etc. What are you talking about? The PS5 is already 6 years old and shows no signs of not being able to play games.
- Comment on Italy’s top court rules against tourist refused tap water in Dolomites hotel 2 weeks ago:
Is tap water free anywhere? Its more that the cost is so miniscule and the need so great that it shouldn’t really matter if you’re giving away $0.000001 worth of tap water, especially to someone paying to eat at your restaurant or stay at your hotel.
- Comment on Put your seat back or no? 2 weeks ago:
allergic to the idea of existing with other human beings and have zero concept of shared space. Frankly, I find this opposition to people reclining in a reclining chair to be comically ridiculous.
Well as someone who will have their knees crushed when you want to take more of the shared space for yourself, this is exactly how I view your argument. If I were short then I probably wouldn’t care. I dont lean my seat back because I know exactly how it is which seems like a much better way to be a steward of shared space.
- Comment on Put your seat back or no? 2 weeks ago:
Nope we’re talking about reclining back into the space of someone else’s seat. It’s obviously nowhere close to the level of racism (which is why I gave those other more mundane examples first) in terms of importance, but the self-justification is all the same.
- Comment on Put your seat back or no? 2 weeks ago:
demanding that someone else not perform an action that is permitted to them because you feel that is it is more convenient to you is…well… I’ll let you figure that one out
So if you’ve been waiting in line for something for an hour and I just show up and cut in front of you, you’d be fine with that since there’s no rule or law saying I can’t?
The two of us are in a small elevator and I rip a huge wet fart just as the doors are closing and its all good, right?
This logic is so often used to justify bad behavior. A perfect example is the far-right spreading hate and racism because “free speech.” They make the exact same argument that you’re making right now.
- Comment on Put your seat back or no? 2 weeks ago:
Same. If the person in front of me puts their seat back, I’m going to ensure that it doesn’t bring them any extra comfort. I’m not typically a confrontational person but airport security and being treated like cattle usually puts me on edge.
