Its legal here in Oregon but I know there are some restrictions especially surrounding cognition. Not sure if you could set something up now but “use” it later considering OP’s situation.
- Comment on When something still uses micro USB in 2025 2 days ago:
You could make the opposite argument here too. If OP no longer has any USB micro devices due to them phasing out over the last 10+ years (most portable consumer electronics wear out over that time), they’ll now need to consume more by buying extra cables rather than reusing what they already have.
- Comment on When something still uses micro USB in 2025 2 days ago:
If you want to talk about shitty USB standards, how about the Pi5 which requires 5V5A USB-C to run correctly, a standard that doesn’t exist anywhere else.
- Comment on When something still uses micro USB in 2025 2 days ago:
Considering $10 disposable vapes all come with USB-C, I can’t imagine the cost difference is really that great.

But what about Kess?
- Comment on ‘Star Trek: Enterprise’ Cast On How Series Was Last Hurrah For “Boys Club” TV Before Me Too Movement 4 days ago:
That may be how it turned out in the end, but that story arc is absolutely not why 7 of 9 was added as a character on the show.
- Comment on Elden Ring on Switch 2 Is a Disaster in Handheld Mode - IGN 1 week ago:
My gripe with the game besides getting my ass handed to me on the regular is that it’s way too massive yet still quite empty. Having to wander around exploring and finding nothing but some plant material is quite boring. I think my favorite layout has been DS Remastered where the Firelink Shrine is the hub with many spokes leading out into different areas that you definitely shouldn’t go until later.
I wound up losing interest jn the game and buying Demons Souls which has been fun and more like the Dark Souls and Bloodborne that I’m used to.
- Comment on Would it be weird to ask my brother if I could tag along when he goes out with his friends? 1 week ago:
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this opinion and it entirely depends on their individual relationship. I would just warn to be conscious of boundaries and to not pressure the brother too hard on the subject. My concern would be OP shifting the burden of building a social life onto little brother as if his duty.
- Comment on Jonathan Frakes Surprised ‘Strange New Worlds’ Star Trek Spoof Was Controversial; Talks Directing ‘Academy’ And More 1 week ago:
Not judt costs but the production schedule for the actors and crew. 23 episodes is one every 2 weeks with just a couple weeks off for the entire year. This also lead to a lot of garbage filler episodes regardless of the series. I do prefer more that 8-10 episodes but 20+ is a bit much too.

I dont think it’s quite so conspiratorial. This is low hanging fruit for journalists after the major issue they had with not including immobilizers as a standard feature.

Shouldn’t making assumptions about an article before reading it be frowned upon too?
- Comment on Why aren't there many controllers with the ability to physically swap out the ABXY layout between Xbox/PC and Nintendo layout? 2 weeks ago:
What should that universal layout be though?
Just a picture of 3 of the 4 buttons with one highlighted (e.g. left/right with bottom highlighted) would be simple enough.

$125 seems pretty steep for a lightbox and acrylic panel with some graphics.
That said, these people better shut up and take my money.

Well just like in the real world, there’s a segment of people who get a little bit of power and let it go to their heads.
- Comment on Could this possibly be one of the dumbest reddit bans ever? 2 weeks ago:
I was permabanned after getting banned from /r/movies for talking about piracy. I then made a couple completely normal comments there on an alt account months later without even realizing it and got permabanned.

As someone who drives roughly double the average mileage per year, I don’t find this at all surprising. I see terrible drivers on the road all the time.
- Comment on California is debating whether or not to remove the bike lane on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. During the public hearing, a politician was driving his car 2 weeks ago:
Because not only is he not giving the meeting the full attention that it deserves but also because he’s driving distracted and putting everyone on the road (like these cyclists) in danger.

It’s a tough pill to swallow because social media gives these idiots a megaphone and places their bullshit right alongside actual experts. These people are a cancer on society. Ignoring them is good for your sanity but it also allows them to spread their disease unchecked.
- Comment on Roof top party at STLV 2025 2 weeks ago:
Woops I frequently get Rio and The Palms mixed up since they’re both near each other off the strip. The Ghost Bar is on the roof of The Palms. Either way it looks like both have the same incredible view.

The old Ghostbar? That place is so rad.
- Comment on Why is land/sky so cleanly split between mammals/birds? 3 weeks ago:
That it was more of a direct path from say raptors to chickens, but I mentioned in another reply that I had forgotten about all the different dinosaur eras and the hundreds of millions of years between them all.
- Comment on Why is land/sky so cleanly split between mammals/birds? 3 weeks ago:
I guess I’m forgetting that there were several different dinosaur periods spanning hundreds of millions of years. My mind defaults to the jurassic period being the only one.
- Comment on Why is land/sky so cleanly split between mammals/birds? 3 weeks ago:
Most birds can fly because they are an offshoot of one group of dinosaurs (avian dinosaurs) that survived the last great extinction when their non-flying non-avian dinosaur relatives did not.
Is this accurate? I was always under the impression that birds evolved from “land dinosaurs”.

I dont think its the same cause but I was looking for pressure washer recs a few days ago and came across a few reddit posts that had entire chains of comments from different individuals and every single one had been deleted. One of the posts wasn’t even that old (pre API change or anything like that). It was definitely odd to see.
