Roadside breath tests arent admissible in court because they aren’t certified testing devices. Only the one at the station with a record of maintenance is admissible.
- Comment on [deleted] 4 days ago:
Field sobriety tests are complete pseudoscience and only exist to gain evidence against you not to prove you’re sober. You should never consent to them and if an officer asks you to take one you’re already going to jail regardless.

Oh I wonder if this is the same guy who’d tag a GPL license onto the end of his comments as if this were Facebook and they’re telling Mark Zuckerberg that he doesn’t have permission to use their comments.
- Comment on What's the name of this 80s song sang by a solo female singer? I only remember her saying "nothing really maaaa-tters" or "nothing truly maaaatt-ers". Has a vibe like I Feel For You by Chaka Kahn 3 weeks ago:
Oh good, this was the song I kept playing in my head while reading OPs description and now I can stop racking my brain trying to figure out what it was.
- Comment on How do i get my nails to stop stinking faster 5 weeks ago:
Don’t they have UV nail polish and could that contain different chemicals that dont stink as badly? I’m out of my element here.
- Comment on Why would a company force you to use a rental car instead of your own for a drive to the office/Christmas party? 1 month ago:
In the US they only reimburse around $0.50/mile (last I knew from several years ago) so it’d have to be a killer deal to be cheaper for rentals than reimbursement. OP did reference kilometers, but I imagine the reimbursement rate is similar wherever you are.

The Irish version would also work here.

You tell them “it’s not 12” but it smells like a foot" and then get ready to fight them off with a stick.

I just wish their merch were as sexy as Star Wars merch so that fans could better show their appreciation for the franchise. Currently everything is still quite “nerdy” while “normies” walk around happily in Star Wars t-shirts

How about those rumors of a LEGO Enterprise??? Nobody wants action figures anymore, and I can’t see the average person wanting Starfleet Academy cosplay attire. Why has Star Trek historically had the absolute worst merchandise available?
- Comment on Does Coke Zero taste different in the UK vs. the USA? 1 month ago:
They’re sweeter because they use high fructose corn syrup where as other places like Mexico still use cane sugar. To get a good Coke in the US, you have to go to a Mexican market or taco truck and get it in a glass bottle. We have a gluttony of corn here so it gets forced into everything from plastic to gasoline to soda.
- Comment on Is there any way of trying Battlefield 6 without buying it or paying £17 for a 1 month EA Play Pro subscription? 1 month ago:
You want to host a PvP game server but not if it requires an internet connection? Who would you be playing against without an internet connection?
- Comment on Why is it "shower thoughts" and not "shitter thoughts"? 2 months ago:
Good point. This makes the entire rest of Lemmy the “shitter thoughts” umbrella community as thats where everyone is posting and commenting from.
- Comment on Has anyone Pooped in the shower? 2 months ago:
That’s why you keep a shit bucket by the back door for when it’s too frigid to get to the outhouse.
- Comment on Has anyone Pooped in the shower? 2 months ago:
What kind of emergency would there be where you’re in a shower but can’t make it to a toilet? They’re almost universally right next to each other.
- Comment on Is Star Trek Discovery that bad? 2 months ago:
TOS does but the 80s/90s series not so much.
- Comment on do you use non violent communication at the workplace? 2 months ago:
Tribalism has run rampant. Stuff like this is fairly innocuous if a bit much. When people get militant about it then it becomes a problem.

- Comment on My credit union no longer allows me to payoff pending purchases made on my credit card 2 months ago:
Sounds like someone is fraudulently using your debit card comment and reaping all the benefits. This wouldn’t have happened if you’d used a credit card comment instead.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 months ago:
I’m really interested in hearing your explanation for how it’s any different.
OP claims this stalker is also reciting facts from their public comments in an attempt to antagonize them too. I suppose you feel it’s okay for you to do it though since you seem to think you’re on some sort of moral high ground and “it’s different when I do it,” “this person really deserves it,” or whatever justification you need to tell yourself to clear the cognitive dissonance.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 months ago:
I’ve understood it quite well thank you. I would also be quite embarrassed making a chain of comments like yours, so I also understand why you’re now deflecting away from the topic and pretending like we’re talking about something else.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 months ago:
What’s your point, that you’ll gladly sacrifice your stated beliefs, completely contradicting everything you said previously, if you think it will help you win an argument? You should be a politician.
It’s hilarious how flippant you are here about calling the police or “Jerry” when you were previously so adamant about that being the best way for this woman to protect herself, proving exactly why that was a nonsense solution to begin with. Congratulations for completely demolishing your argument all on your own.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 months ago:
So your real name is “troed?” Is that a single name like “Cher?”
Funny that you take the idealist approach while committing the very act that you’re railing against as if your whole argument is worthless. Should I call the police on you and report you to fedia.io as you suggested someone do when dealing with an unhinged individual like yourself?

The few I have are set to private actually because there’s zero reason to expose personal information to a bunch of strangers.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 months ago:
Care to point out where anyone said this woman needs to step back and be quiet or does your whole argument fall apart without this strawman?
- Comment on [deleted] 2 months ago:
So lets hear your solution to the problem if you feel your idealist approach is the most effective way to deal with this.
Let me guess, you’ll suggest going to the police who won’t actually do anything or pay thousands of dollars to hire a lawyer who may or may not be able to accomplish something after months of time and a bunch of court hearings. Maybe even loudly announcing to this mentality ill individual that their behavior is wrong forcing them to back down as everyone around claps for OP? Yeah I’m not so sure that’s how things work in the real world.
Nobody is blaming the victim here but we don’t live in a fairytale world where good always triumphs over evil and justice is always served. You need to do what you can to protect yourself and we’re simply offering real solutions.

This is like saying you dont need to look both ways before crossing the street when you have the crossing signal. Sure, you might be correct but that doesn’t protect you when you get hit by a car.
