- Comment on Why civilians don't crowdfund bribe money for politicians? 5 hours ago:
There were bribe stats I read at some point. It’s often four figures. Pathetic, but yeah we could match that.
The problem is rich people will just start bribing them even more. It’s like bidding at an auction.

Really not the point of this community, the mod doesn’t care so I guess why should I. Leaving.

Something broken on lemmy.world, I keep seeing posts from that instance with the username [deleted] except they’re not actually deleted.

We all have strengths and weaknesses. I’d trade this ability for a more important one I severely lack in.

This isn’t something I think about/worked on, sorry. Not remotely consistent either with when I sleep, personal life and shift work.
Earplugs every time I sleep. Sleep mask when the sun will be out.

Not every project works out and he seems to behave like they weren’t so fair enough. He did put out three shitty card games on Steam and that NIER mobile gacha game, so it’s not like he’s incapable of making stinkers too.
wtf are you talking about?

I don’t feel groggy when I wake up idk what to say. I don’t even drink bean water unless I want to stay up later.

They’re all removable here.

- Comment on Gamepad for Linux Gaming? 1 week ago:
I wouldn’t use bluetooth due to input delay, but the 2.4Ghz wireless dongle 8bitdo sold separately at the time I was buying Pro 2 controllers was plug and play on Linux. Same goes for their Arcade Sticks.
If wired is okay then yeah that’ll work well. I always try to list flaws in stuff I own as well, so: Pro 2 the input method sliding switch on the rear of the controller is the weak spot in the design. If you frequently use that it’ll eventually cause spotty connection issues according to complaints I’ve read over the years. The D-Pad isn’t something you’d want to use for fighting games, but I love it for retro. Very NES-like.
Mine very rarely leave xinput so it’s been fine for me.

- Comment on How likely do you think game streaming as DRM is to become a thing? 1 week ago:
I don’t think I’d be happy without faster than light internet with no hiccups, but corporations will repeatedly try making it happen with shitty delay at garbage bit rates regardless I’m sure. Whether it sticks one day or not, idk. We suck at predicting the future.
- Comment on pwned: do you pronounce it as "pohned" "pawned" or "owned" 1 week ago:
Pronounced “owned.” 1337 speak is cringe but thems the rules.
- Comment on Why do each gaming fraction (pc, consoles, mobile) hating each other? 2 weeks ago:
PC is FREEDOM and I want more free minds on Earth.
I still bought consoles too though, I’m not all that concerned. More of a “it’d be nice” kinda thing. Hate is a strong word.

- Comment on Linux gamers on Steam finally cross over the 3% mark 2 weeks ago:
It’s frustrating because kernel level doesn’t actually help. The cheats and cheaters can also do that and do! I soured on competitive multiplayer because it’s become impossible to ignore that every popular PvP game is infested eith cheaters and that anti cheat is the equivalent of the TSA at Airports but even less effective. It’s security theater.
The only real prevention is consoles in games without cross play and that haven’t been cracked/exploited yet. Even then there’s man…AI In The Middle external cheats now that record the display output and can aim bot with controller input splicing hardware. But that’s not as easy to set up so way less cheaters.
Except then you’re gaming on a console which usually aim bots for you anyways because joysticks are inaccurate crap. Labeled “aim assist.” Halo Infinite for example was so egregious you couldn’t compete with controller players because of aim assist vs mouse and keyboard. That’s built into the fucking game!

Still man-made. You made it up. Baselessly.

With ALT:V sort of, the Steam forums say running the Windows version of Steam under WINE was the only way to get ALT:V to detect GTA 5 was installed, but compatibility wizards may know better ways to deal with prefixes.

Same here, although they’re not catching much of the current infestation of Maple/Boxelder bugs.
I like their look and dopey panicked movements when they notice you watching them, but the cute looks get old when there’s 20 sunbathing on the wrong side of the kitchen window.
