Parkitect is the most RCT-like modern entry and is also co-op. I bounce between these two.
Planet Coaster scenarios and park management suck and it still looks like RCT3.

Aye and it helps the fans are so passionate making new maps to play for both Thief games and TDM.
DKR holds up so much better. It's just mire realised too. Way more stuff to do. MK64 is skeletal more like an arcade game really. Wish it'd get some reverse engineering love as much as I enjoy the fan made map packs for MK64.
With DKR once you get used to the car drifting camera movements, bunny hopping the hovercraft, letting go of the gas before hitting boosts, and learning the plane can also trigger ground boosts you'll feel like a god.
I see a lot of people shit on the hovercraft while I'm over here bunny hopping sharp corners jumping up to smash into walls on purpose like a psycho so I don't slow down ping ponging all over. It's such a joy.

I adored Disco Elysium while playing it, but the ending felt kinda rushed/soured for me so it didn't quite hit top 3. However, the book Sacred And Terrible Air by Robert Kurvitz that was fan translated to English semi recently helped a great deal with unanswered questions about the world the game takes place in that I had which really helped brighten my overall opinion of the game in retrospect.
The book isn't very approachable I think with almost zero exposition, so it actually helps to have played the game first.

Not gonna rank them because I can't.
Age of Empires II I've played since release and still do occasionally.
Everhood 1 everything about it I love. During covid things got very dark for me personally and this game just hit perfectly on some stuff plaguing my mind at the exact right time I most needed it. The devs were one hit wonders unfortunately. Coming from that, the sequel was atrocious.
Thief 2: The Metal Age. It's like crack to this brain of mine. Yes I play The Dark Mod too.
Runners up:
LISA: The Painful
Diddy Kong Racing

Wow they really went for the RCT look, even the logo. I uh, would've preferred a theme park game tbh...but I'll definitely play this.

The tools to get around early CD DRM copy protection is still available on GameCopyWorld's website.

- Comment on Is it worth selling on eBay in 2025? 2 days ago:
I sell to locals first always, but some stuff you just can't. Nobody around me knew for example what a PC Engine Duo was when I was selling off my console collection. eBay is good for that.
I'd garage sale first, local buy&sell websites/apps second, then go eBay for whatever remains of enough value to bother with.
- Comment on AI-generated music is here to stay. Will streaming services like Spotify label it? 2 days ago:
Bandcamp is my still primary new music source, and I've uninstalled my modded Spotify apps over AI. I'm just not gonna deal with it.
- Comment on Uber received 400,000 reports of sexual misconduct from 2017 to 2022 2 days ago:
One of my friends works as a train engineer and despite the brutal and dangerous career she says the regular use of Taxis to and from the trains are the most dangerous and sketchy part of the job esp for a woman. Refuses private owner apps like Uber entirely now, there's been attempts on her on the 5AM trips.

Lots of old people still offload hardwood furniture on kijiji (local buy&sell) or ReStore (2nd hand warehouse here) here it's not expensive to aquire if you happen to like orange and brown furniture. Or can stand to put some time in refinishing stuff or even repairing the more worn pieces that sell for even less.

Yeah that lack of transparency is a bummer. Might be worth private messaging some of the devs listed here to inquire.

You know yourself better than us and I don't kbow your reasoning behind that "it's just not my thing" so I can't tell you either way.
I've never wanted kids and wish I had gotten a vasectomy earlier than 28. I'm 35 now. Looking at the world, I can't say it's done anything but constantly reaffirm the same conculsions I've drawn since I started thinking about sterilizing myself at 16.
I never changed my mind because my reasons weren't shallow. More of a reaction to my environment and the nightmare nature of reality most refuse to acknowledge, choosing delusions and unevidenced beliefs instead.

I ride in the parks after curfew bylaw and we pretend they've done their job for a moment where they "chase" me to an alley they can't drive through and I wait for them to fuck off for 2 minutes.

In Canada you'd be unlucky to even get jail time at all, it's fucked. We're kinda infamous for this.
One I remember was a driver going 120 km/hr in a 60 zone, ran over some girl guides, and kills an 8 year old.
2 years of house arrest.
- Comment on Hypothetically, if the police seized your electronics (for an unrelated investigation) and found out you have a lot of pirated content, what would happen? 1 week ago:
In Canada there's a cap on how much you can get sued for piracy and it's all infringements combined, not per item. The cap is so low nobody ever gets sued because nobody would make any money off it and it wouldn't financially ruin me.
So they'd find a NAS with every video game ever made in all languages up to 7th gen and partial 8+9. All legacy PC games and partial archive of modern. A lot of music, and some less popular/rare video media. I mostly moved to debrid for video content outside of some stuff I worry could get lost to time while I'm alive and youtuber archives. Sacrifices of a limited budget.
Tl;dr: the max worst case scenario here is a maximum $5,000 penalty and theoretically I suppose they could tech ban me. Forbid the usage of a computer or limit it.
In reality I get the occasional scare letters from ISP and pin them to a wall like trophies. The reseller ISP I'm with is pro user and doesn't care.

I thought the devs of 2 weren't the same people who made 1 or even the icy spinoff of 1 with all the island stuff people hated.
