- Comment on Do people really "need" friends? 5 hours ago:
I don’t “need” a romantic partner. I need human connection of some kind but maybe not everyone does
- Comment on Do you feel bad when racist people call Myron Gains and the Hodge Twins racial slurs? Do they deserve it? 15 hours ago:
It sounds like they are bad people but I don’t think that makes it okay to call them racial slurs. If a black person is an asshole, I’ll call them an asshole but I won’t call them a slur. I won’t make the insult be about their race or sexual orientation or anything of that sort.
I sort of agree, though, that if they freely choose to be around racists, they shouldn’t be surprised when they’re exposed to racism
- Comment on What's your opinions on film critics and film snobs?? 22 hours ago:
Do you consider it snobbery to tell people they’re not allowed to think about other things while watching a movie?
- Comment on Do some rich people date "poor" people? 1 day ago:
Yes. And some smart people date stupid people. Some people even date people on the opposite end of the political spectrum. I wouldn’t date someone with opposing political beliefs but some people do it
- Comment on How do people with ADD and ADHD watch movies or shows??? 1 day ago:
Part of what makes a movie good is ability to hold people’s attention
- Comment on How do people with ADD and ADHD watch movies or shows??? 1 day ago:
Somehow, I don’t think you fully understand ADHD
- Comment on If Superman's son didn't inherit Kryptonian powers but got powers a different way and became a superhero, how would Superman and Lois react? 1 day ago:
Is there any particular reason they’d try to stop him? I guess they might be concerned about the danger but overall I would expect Superman to be proud of his son being a superhero like him
- Comment on What's your opinions on film critics and film snobs?? 1 day ago:
Same. I rarely look to critics to decide whether to see a movie, I go see whatever movies I’m interested in. I like listening to YouTube videos discussing things I’ve already seen and I can leave a comment if I disagree with something they say or have something to add. However, I tend to avoid reviews for things I really like because I don’t want to hear negativity. For example, I really like the recent live action Snow White and I think listening to negative reviews will bring me down, so I avoid them. It’s when I have mixed feelings about a film, like Disenchanted, it’s fun to listen to people talk about
- Comment on As adults, do you still watch kids’ cartoons, either old or new? 3 days ago:
Yes. I watch lots of kids cartoons. Both nostalgic ones from my childhood, like Digimon, and new ones like Sofia the First
- Comment on Is there a way I can get someone or some company to get me books that are illegal in the US? And if so how would I go about it without losing half or all my money? 4 days ago:
Are there books that are illegal in the US? there are books that are unavailable to buy in the US but I don’t think there are any that are illegal to possess. That may change with the rising fascism

- Comment on Is chess the most frustrating game to lose in? 5 days ago:
Tic tac toe isn’t a game of luck, it’s a game purely based on strategy. Which is why, once everyone figures out the strategy it always ends in a tie

- Comment on Cultural impact 5 days ago:
And now people are accusing the upcoming Disney movie Hexed of being a ripoff of Owl House because apparently Owl House invented the idea of a hero being transported to a magical world.
I understand Owl House fans are mad that Disney canceled the show prematurely and made the ending rushed. I agree that Disney shouldn’t have done that. But I’m not going to fault Disney for making another story where a character is transported to a magical world. Heck, Disney did it decades ago with Alice in Wonderland and with Peter Pan. They also did it with the Chronickes of Narnia and there are many more examples, both Disney and non-Disney
- Comment on Why do I lose my temper if I'm blocked from a community or by a user? 5 days ago:
I get angry if blocked because it feels like I’ve lost any opportunity to defend myself. I also have trauma from being treated unfairly in the real world

Ever notice how ads for games show someone playing in the most inefficient way possible so people will want to download the game to play it correctly
- Comment on [deleted] 5 days ago:
My little sister used to sometimes stand over me while I played computer games. She’d suggest moves and I’d be thankful at first, but at a certain point she was direction all my moves and I’d be like “just play the game on your own device if you want to play it”. She seemed to prefer telling someone else how to play than play her own game
- Comment on Cultural impact 5 days ago:
And that’s perfectly fine if you like that kind of movie. But people who don’t like that kind of movie have no reason to watch these
- Comment on Cultural impact 5 days ago:
I’m genuinely surprised the sequels are making money. I didn’t see any of them in theatres. I didn’t think people cared about this franchise. Maybe some are going mainly for the visuals, that’s the main reason I go to see the Jurassic movies

How do you expect the police to know the difference between “letting off steam” and a serious threat?

Even saying you wish someone dead is inadvisable. It’s not illegal to say you wish someone dead but it does make you likely to be a suspect if they die under suspicious circumstances
- Comment on Why did we send this? Were we trying to scare the aliens away? 1 week ago:
In Star Trek: Enterprise, they encounter a species that is highly offended by eating in public. It’s like sending them pictures of pooping or masturbation
- Comment on When a judge tells the jury to ‘forget XYZ,’ how can the jury possibly do that? 1 week ago:
I would guess they declare a mistrial and have to start over with a new jury. This is one of the reasons justice is slow
- Comment on When a judge tells the jury to ‘forget XYZ,’ how can the jury possibly do that? 1 week ago:
Well it means that officially, they’re not supposed to consider it a factor in their decision making. But you’re right that it’s not really possible to completely erase the influence on their minds. Even if they try to completely disregard it, it will still have an impact on their thoughts
