What site is that? I have lost most of my faith in BOM
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 1 hour ago
The witch is right, I use the Windy app. I gave up on the BOM years ago because I got sick of it bricking my phone all the time.
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 1 hour ago
The witch is correct, I use the Windy app (free version). I haven’t used BOM in years because I got sick of it bricking my phone all the time and gave up on it.

went to beach, took 45 minutes walking around the reserve to be relaxed enough to even start to hear the birds
but when I did they were wonderful :)
I like the little red capped plovers , the yellow robins and the wrens the best. Those wrens are so territorial and are constantly telling me to wrack off
so many dogs at the beach too , all very happy and having a great doggy time ( this is not a beach I would swim at, just sayin’ )
Catfish@aussie.zone 3 hours ago
I would like my internal temperature control back please 🤬
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 4 hours ago
I cannot be bothered. I have somehow done Things but no more today.
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 3 hours ago
I feel this in my bones.

I have finished my last uni assignment. Hopefully enough to pass the unit, I really didn’t put much effort into it, I’ve completely lost interest!
It’s a terrible day to choose to have the oven on, but I have lamb roast for dinner & can now play games for the rest of the day guilt free. Horizon Zero Dawn here I come.
SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 5 hours ago
Yeah, I’m tryna kick a cert3 over the line with as little effort as possible.

I think I need a powernap

I love a nap. It’s a great joy in life.

Alamutjones@aussie.zone 6 hours ago
It is indeed the forest gallery.
I wanted some greenery
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 7 hours ago
time to do some garden work on the balcony :)
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 7 hours ago
it’s warm and blustery out there
Catfish@aussie.zone 9 hours ago
Woo! Today I have successfully un-fucked the fridge, and sneakily doubled Boyo’s rubber duck collection.a flotilla of rubber ducks

That 3 km walk in bad boots last week really fucked up my back, I was nearly in tears by the time i got home. Had to rest up a lot this. :(
On a positive note I have improved my PT exercises. :)

:(
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 hours ago
too scared to even try the boots with the new cushions ,
on a positive note I have 2 pairs of hiking sandals for warm weather
not snek proof tho and where I walk has many sneks , not that I have seen any, will use sandals and stomp around
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 9 hours ago
Last zonk day. Next week I’m prepping to go back into work mode.
Means getting up at 7am, getting some work ready in advance so I can hit the ground running.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 9 hours ago
Sounds like a plan.

Is this the bit of the museum where you go outside, the forresty bit? I love it, and those mad little birds that go running around in there!
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 11 hours ago
I’ve been dawdling all morning. Might go get a coffee and dawdle in the museum

Starting to digitise me vinyl. Most of it is sort of 1998-2004 electronic.
But ran into a 1962 recording (so 63yr old record!) of a memorial concert thing my ol’ boy has from his old school. Pretty impressive they could fit 58 minutes on a single record. Thought it was going to be a bunch of kids making shit noises but it was actually very very polished (and very professionally recorded). The funny thing is that they overdubbed applause after each song, like canned laughter, but seriously over the top clapping lol and it’s the same sample every time.
So I’m going to sample it and try and chuck it in a choon I think to keep that energy alive today.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 11 hours ago
I love this. :)

I don’t know if it’s the antivirals or just my body doing its thing, but I’m actually feeling a lot better! My fever is gone (even though this weather is making me think it’s still there) and I’m still a bit tired, but more or less fine!
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 7 hours ago
That’s good! Don’t go too hard though
imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 12 hours ago
Yay! Glad you are feeling better. Take it easy this week…it takes longer than you think to bounce back from a bad flu
LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 11 hours ago
Thanks! Yeah definitely will.
I have a 7am start shift tomorrow which I am not looking forward to
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 13 hours ago
Decided to add one more song to the set. The needle and the damage done by Neil Young.
Perfect closer to the night.
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 13 hours ago
Work funded trip to the museum today as well. It’s meant to be a hot one so good timing. I wonder if we’ll get a seat at the star wars cafe
LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 12 hours ago
I think they’ve also opened a new gallery recently too! Have a good time!
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 7 hours ago
There was the reef thing upstairs and the elephant.
We didn’t make it to the Lego Star Wars section but that’s alright because they didn’t scan our tickets and we got Enter Whenever tickets valid until the end of January, so we can still go in free another time

So the water on the Bellarine gradually rusts out moka pots no matter what it seems. What would be the next best coffee creator? Not a fan of plunger, and pods are pretty wrong for the environment. I was thinking a American style percolator but that’s probably going to be pretty unsatisfactory…
Taleya@aussie.zone 11 hours ago
Aluminium moka?
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 11 hours ago
Filter coffee with reuseable basket instead of using paper filters (the paper absorbs a lot of the oils from the coffee). Gold plated basket is best, not nylon. I’ve found they do a good job for a larger batch.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 11 hours ago
a percolator will be fine, just clean out the water tank and pots regularly
SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 12 hours ago
Cold brew?
Water filter to preserve the coffee pot?

I found the quadlock ring I’ve been looking for since Easter. I thought it fell by a side table but it was in the pocket of some shorts, and it has only just gotten warm enough for shorts weather.
Unfortunately the phone I have the quadlock case for has the broken camera lenses and the one I’m currently using is so old I probably won’t be able to find a quadlock case now
