Why did they write the sheet music backwards?
Her slumber is now complete.

I’ll take Michael’s sweet tones over Mariah screeching any day.

I’ll just copy paste what I wrote https://lemmy.world/post/37918218/20162234:
It’s so interesting / funny that All I want for Christmas is you is this US meme of the all-surrounding Christmas song, because in Germany, that always used to be Last Christmas. Like there have been endless sketches about Last Christmas playing everywhere and in every radio station and being a war crime and being inevitable in the winter, and apparently there was a radio station guy that played it over 30 times on loop.
And the way All I want for Christmas is you is treated in US internet culture is exactly that. But sadly, through the interconnection of the internet and meme culture, I feel like this meme is in the process of replacing the Last Christmas meme in Germany, and I personally find that really sad :C

I’m in the UK and unfortunately we get Mariah more than we should. I detest it.

We somehow get the Pogues more than both, which annoys me mostly because it’s only tangentially Christmassy.

In the US, the left mirror doesn’t usually have this effect.

“Mariah is coming” memes will always be 100x more annoying than the actual song itself

Oh god no. Not in my point of view. Her voice is like fingernails on chalkboard to me. Mostly screeches and squeals.
