Whatcha all playing? I finished DK banaza. Really good but not as good as odyssey imo. Back on death stranding 2 and been enjoying the BF6 beta!

Mostly the pokemon fangame Pokemon Decay.

I was going to break my years long permanent quitting of minecraft to try a modpack, but Curseforge wasn’t working on my laptop and then I accidentally deleted a bunch of appimages off my device and have given up on mc since.

Playing Persona 5 Royal on the switch every time I have 15 mins or more to spare. It’s almost replaced doom-scrolling entirely for me. Excellent game I failed to get into years ago but this time I think I started while I was in the right headspace.

If you are considering this game and are at all busy, get it on Switch if you can. You frequently go through 40-60 mins of scripted events/dialogue without a chance to save, so the ability to suspend and pick up where you left it is a life-saver. It also prevents me from getting distracted by other games whenever I open Steam. Maybe I’ll finish it this time.

Almost done with Shadow the Hedgehog. I’ve currently gotten 7 out of the 10 endings required to face the true final boss. I think next will be the original Starfox.

Still playing Persona 3 Reload.

I also played Devotion. I’m not really used to horror so I struggled a bit starting it, but the story was good.

Brickadia, surprisingly fun lego-like building game with physics, buildable & driveable vehicles and contraptions, weapons and game modes. I think it has very interesting potential.

Bought Titan Quest 2 in Early Access and played through the current content (Prologue + Act 1) with two characters.

While the game is fun, the current masteries (classes) are kinda boring (except Storm). For some reason, only the Storm mastery gets different basic abilities (low cost, spammable attacks), and everyone else is stuck with the dinky basic weapon attack. I also wasn’t too hot on the active abilities for the Rogue and Warfare mastery, so I basically just ran around with two passives and the default attack otherwise (which you can upgrade) on my Bowman. My first character, a Frost caster (Storm+Earth mastery) was a lot more fun, with better abilities.

I wouldn’t recommend at its current non-sale price, but it’s a good foundation, as long as the devs can keep updating the game with more stuff.

APE OUT is super cheap now on Steam. Have been playing that a bit on the Deck.

Finished the main story of Just Cause 4, and most of the DLC. I want to complete the normal challenges for the achievements. After that I think I’ll consider it complete.

After JC4 I think I’ll start Cyberpunk.

I’m back again playing Tom Clancy’s: The Division via GeForce Now. I don’t know how many hours of playing I have, but I’m only at level 22 so yeah, I’m playing it slow pace, taking my time (just kidding, I’m not good at FPS, but they work great as stress relief).

Too much Shogun Showdown.

DLC came out for Chained Echoes and I started that only to realize I needed a refresher on some of the characters and the plot. Once that’s done, I’m looking forward starting it for reals.

I’m playing Ninja Gaiden Black this week for the first time on Xemu original Xbox emulator, and it’s been an absolute blast so far (mostly… we’ll get to that). Despite being known for its combat there is actually a surprising amount of adventure game gameplay in there, with exploration, Metroidvania-esque area unlocks/backtracking and light platforming. I’ve actually enjoyed these parts quite a bit as they’ve provided nice breathing room between fighting.

So far the game’s infamous difficulty has not yet proven insurmountable, even playing on Normal and not “Ninja Dog” (Easy). I’m on Chapter 11 out of 16 now and so far so good. It’s definitely been challenging, but not really unfair - it just constantly demands you to use all the tools at your disposal, and think carefully about every situation. It’s not a hack-and-slash; you have to be very precise and deliberate and use proper combos - button mashing will get you killed. The AI is hyper aggressive, but you have so much at your disposal in terms of movement and offensive and defensive tools that there is always a solution if you’re just fast enough, proactive enough or patient enough. A lot of fights get a lot easier if you just pick the right weapon, or right Ninpo, or remember to use Smoke Bombs.

Also, having access to Save States through the emulator makes things a lot more pleasant to play as the game is notorious for its horrible checkpointing. I’m trying not to abuse it, but I’m not really interested in wasting time either and the game is challenging enough as it is.

Chapter 9 is an absolute abomination, though. There is absolutely no reason for it to suddenly become Call of Duty, and being forced to fight two tanks, a helicopter and a radio tower full of bazookas using only a bow with explosive arrows and awful controller first person aiming was downright horrendous.

Even despite that though I still definitely recommend trying it. Setting up Xemu is extremely simple, the ROM is floating around online for free so the cost is minimal and the combat really is something special.

Started Diablo 1 last week, picked Sorcerer. It was a tough but a fun ride until the very end when I discovered… that I bricked my character! Apparently you can’t be a mage and focus on magic exclusively since there are monsters in the very late-game (Blood Knights) who are fully resistant to anything you cast, and my points in non-magic talents were so low I could only equip starter weapons! Rerolling a rogue (actually an amazon idk why they called her rogue), lets see how it goes. The game is great fun, atmosphere is extraordinary and music is god-tier (or should I say, diablo-tier).
