Mainly for iPhone/ IOS but if it is possible to have it synch with Windows (PC) that would be a major advantage.

It just amazes me how to doing the Nazi salute, uniforms and speech’s are entirely okay now. However, being against it gets you banned.
The world has gone a full circle and we are back to the days were fascism, hatred and all that is okay. Unfortunately.

I’m sorry, I have to correct my own mistake. It was “Logan Paul” who did that. They (Jake and Logan Paul are brothers and I mixed them up). But yea, you are right though.

I seriously dislike this guy and I have no idea why he has not been canceled. If I remember correctly, he recorded a person who took his own life in Japan’s known forest. His buddies and he giggled. No respect for the dead.
- Comment on Which of the two would you purchase for someone who’s not so technical? 2 weeks ago:
don’t worry about emulation? Just let her use it the way Gaben intended.
Well if you read the comments a bit , you would’ve read another comment of mine;
True, true but most games she likes are emulation. The Switch games, a PS2 game and Cemu (Zelda).
Anyway, my main intention was to get the Switch 2 so she could play Tears of the kingdom + Mario and Yoshi games that she likes.
- Comment on Which of the two would you purchase for someone who’s not so technical? 2 weeks ago:
Emulation ≠ Piracy (pirating ROMs is another story…)
Oh yeah, I know hah. But considering the instance I’m on, you can, I assume already know how I obtain most of the games.
But if you’re using EmuDeck, if you install it for her, it’s pretty simple after that - all the games just show up as games in Steam Library.
Yeah, I use EmuDeck on my own Deck but there are some hiccups when it comes to using the emulators thru Gaming Mode (bit of laggy, sometimes the games won’t start). Usually start the games through Desktop Mode. Did not manage to get the game to show up on the Steam Library, for some reason I just could not get that to work and due not enough time (work…) got a bit lazy and thought ‘never mind’ lol.

Has she tried playing on your steam deck?
Yeah, she plays a lot on it. But she usually wants me to turn on the games when it’s emulation.
She really likes how the Deck feels (ergonomically).

- Comment on Why do some people make such a big deal over ages of someone's account on here? 3 weeks ago:
Can’t speak for others but I take few day-old accounts and their opinions with a grain of salt. Often it happens that it is just a troll to bait other people.
- Comment on Does anyone else notice an up tick in hostility on Lemmy lately? 1 month ago:
The hostility has been here for quite a while, though. When the migrating happened from Reddit to Lemmy it was all nice and cozy but after a year or so the hostility was already there. Very often people did not want to acknowledge this (and started to heavily downvote the particular comment stating this). Plus with what is happeneing in the world, the negativity from reality seeps into the digital world.
But anyway, the best thing to do is just block anyone who is hostile towards you for no actual reason. Has no point to put energy and/ or time in it.
- Comment on Updates that don't tell me what is being updated 2 months ago:
Wish we could upload videos, I recorded this exact same issue a few days ago with Spotify. I use a modded Spotify and curious to the updates. Thus I checked their App Store and this what’s been spammed on their App Store page;
“We are continuously busy making Spotify much better! Don’t want to miss anything? Make sure you have automatic updates on!”
- Comment on I finally decided to go full piracy against big companies 2 months ago:
Bit busy so can’t make a long comment. Just wanted to say, welcome to the ‘dark’ side. I highly recommend to check the instance in on for everything you need (Megathread). It tells you where to look, which safety measures to take etc.
I wanted to purchase Metaphor Refantzio because the game seems good and then figured out they blatantly said “you don’t own Metaphor even if you purchase it”. Thus decided to pirate it (it isn’t cracked but it is playable).
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 2 months ago:
Every single game that’s hard, gets the same “it’s so hard” complaint. Well of course it is, isn’t that one of the appeals of the game? Reminds me Sekiro when it got out.
Anyway, we both got our own opinions and that’s that. Lets agree to disagree, I suppose.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 2 months ago:
That’s alright too but every time there’s a hard game, it’s always the same old complaining. It’s tiresome.
Hollow Knight, the first game was hard too with some bosses.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 2 months ago:
People have nothing better to do than complain, I suppose. Don’t like the game? Don’t play it. The game is good, imo.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong is out now on Steam - and it broke Steam servers for 15 minutes and counting now 3 months ago:
Yeah, I bought it the day after its release (today September 5th). Played about 1,5H (so glad I “work” from home).

I’m playing mixed games;
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
- Expedition 33.
- Persona 3 Reload.
- Kirby and the forgotten land.
Mainly Mario kart though, chill to take your mind off after work (and when working at home, ha). Though, I’ll stop playing most of these games when Silksong gets released this Thursday.

Do you experience any crashes with D1? I was planning to purchase D1 on sale but then I remembered, I had terrible experience with D2.
Continuously crashing which results in having to do missions over and over again. Eventually quit D2.
- Comment on Nintendo Switch Console & Accessory Prices Are Going Up In The US 4 months ago:
Truly depends on the game.
Well my main usage for the Deck would be games like; Almost all Switch popular Switch 1 games (except Zelda), Persona 5 Royal, Persona 3 Reload, Metaphor and Expedition 33 as well as the Ori games.
But yeah, there are quite a few AAA/higher graphical fidelity games I just won’t bother, even if it’s technically playable at a "smooth’ 30FPS. Like Kingdom Come 2 ran pretty decently on it, surprisingly, but damn did it really make the game look pretty rough.
I saw videos on YT that Metaphor runs on 30-40FPS in cities, 60FPS in battles and that with emulation it’s a bit hit-or-miss. Someone told me, I’m asking to much of a handheld device but considering that the Deck is €700 which is a kind of a normal budget PC.
This might be a personal thing but 30FPS is going to bother me to no-end. I’m probably just spoiled with the at least permanent 60FPS and very often 144FPS.
But, honestly, I still use my Deck a shit ton, especially at work. It’s hands down the best portable emulator machine and there are tons of indie games that run great on it. It also works great as a small laptop in desktop mode. I use it almost daily at work.
Great to hear! Did not expect the Deck being able to work as a small laptop, hah. Though, my main usage would be gaming at home (for example; in bed, on the couch or outside in the yard). Kind of want a handheld because after 5 days of office work, it’s nice to game somewhere else than in front of the PC.

I have a PS5. I don’t intend to ever buy a console again. That era is dead.
Similar situation here. Bought the PS5 and probably used it for a year or so and now it’s collect dust. Literally. Kind of regretting getting one. I only game on PC nowadays.
I was thinking to get a Switch 2 but then all the chaos hit with the emulation takedowns, Nintendo suing Palworld, Prices of Nintendo games, prices of their accessories and the whole game key card stuff. Just to much negativity.
Still thinking about Steam Deck but it’s 3 years in its life. So not sure whether that’s worth the €700 euro. Have heard it struggles with the current games.

Sigh, the more I read about Nintendo Switch 2… The more nonsense it becomes.
I actually was curious about the Switch 2 and was wondering about Donkey Kong Bananza. Though, the more I read, the more I hesitate to purchase one later on.
- Comment on Steamdeck or.... 5 months ago:
I know your comment is ~1 month old but - I’m actually surprised you got downvoted for this comment, because you are right. Steam Deck got released around 2022-2023 and from research, it struggles a bit to play newer games well.
I have been debating to get a Steam Deck OLED but that’s one of the reasons why, I’m uncertain to purchase one (and hoping for Steam Deck 2). Steam Deck is great for indie-games and emulation though. Was also eyeing the Switch 2 but the prices are ridiculous and thus will wait until price drops or until it’s hackable.

Tech people here not sure why you think we care more than others. I want to play new Nintendo games and I can afford it. That’s really all it’s about.
You might not care but tech people do care. Much more than non-tech people.
A statement can be true even when it does not apply to you.
