About to finish the original Legend of Zelda and start Into the Breach.

That story gives Gruntilda from Banjo-Kazooie vibes
 - Comment on Condiment udders 1 week ago:
Same. Only one I can think of I like is marinara with bread sticks. Everyone always acts surprised when I eat so much stuff plain or just throwing salt on it.
 - Comment on Why would I buy this? 1 week ago:
I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Can you put a few more red circles on the photo to help? Maybe a couple arrows too.
 - Comment on 2 weeks ago:
I only use self-checkout when it’s an option no matter the business. I worked in a grocery store as a cashier for 11 years and all it did was make me hate people so I’m not gonna be part of the problem for somebody else.
 - Comment on What is the most overrated game gamers hype up? 2 weeks ago:
Pokemon Legends Arceus. I bought into the hype after it released cause my friends were playing it non-stop and assured me that anything I thought I wouldn’t like about it wasn’t actually in the game or wasn’t as bad as I thought. I got it and could only play till the Lilligant battle before dropping it. I still adore most mainline Pokemon games (although Scarlet and Violet might be my jumping off point cause I didn’t like the story or open world), but this was way too much of a departure from what I liked about Pokemon for me.

Playing a modded version that removed weapon durability made it go from my least liked entry in the series to…slightly above the NES games.
 - Comment on What is the most overrated game gamers hype up? 2 weeks ago:
Honestly as someone who has played a lot of Ubisoft open world games and really didn’t like BotW (haven’t played TotK cause why would I) it did feel pretty similar to those games with the only difference being the map didn’t tell you where the collectibles/challenges were at. You still have the big radio tower things you climb to get info on the surrounding area and the korok seeds/shrines would feel no different from Ubisoft slop if the map showed where they were. That’s the only difference I felt between the two.

I meant Netanyahu. I apologize for the mistake on that one cause I was barely awake when I wrote it.

How can you say they support Gaza’s right to live when they had 0 problems with what Mamdani was doing and refused to even acknowledge the genocide? They wouldn’t even join the UN in acknowledging it or arresting the fucker.
 - Comment on Republican? Democrat? There is a third option: 2 weeks ago:
When the DNC stops supporting Israel completely, starts taking up actual progressive leftist stances like defunding the police, and stops doing the BS bipartisanship crap then sure. Until then I’ll vote third party for groups like PSL who I do volunteer work with. The closest political party that aligns with my ideal version of leadership.
 - Comment on Republican? Democrat? There is a third option: 2 weeks ago:
No? It’s hypocritical for Dems to demand voters give them money while telling people they want money out of politics. Personally I’d make it so politicians are paid the minimum wage of the state they represent and aren’t allowed to take bribes, donations, gifts from corporations or CEOs, and election funds are a pooled resource where everyone running for any party, big or small, has access to the same amount. Anyone found getting extra funds is immediately kicked out and banned from holding any level of government office, including even being a town mayor.
 - Comment on Republican? Democrat? There is a third option: 2 weeks ago:
If they truly wanted money out of politics then they’d stop begging people for donations every single election cycle.

Good boomer humor
 - Comment on Aight. Let's be honest. How many of you dress for yourselves, and how many dress for others? 3 weeks ago:
I never go anywhere special, so I guess I dress for myself. I’m most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt so even on days where I’m not going anywhere and will most likely stay home all day, I still shower and put those on. My shirts are all nerdy stuff with characters and logos all over them that I like. Never was a fan of plain, single color shirts. I just got a Mothra shirt and love it so much.
 - Comment on Why do we still joke about setting up old wooden guillotines? 4 weeks ago:
I have a desire for cannibalism. I’ve heard human meat can be pretty tasty when cooked and seasoned just right.
 - Comment on Why do we still joke about setting up old wooden guillotines? 4 weeks ago:
It’s cause yours comes off as more optimistic whereas the other comes off as more realistic. Like, as a recent example, Diddy should have gotten a life sentence or even at least 20 years in prison, but he only got 4 and at most he might serve like 1-2. Seeking justice through the proper channels in this world doesn’t work and won’t work till we destroy everything and rebuild even if the road to get there is paved in blood.
 - Comment on what's a good answer to placate the c-suite if you're accused of lacking motivation and being unfriendly? 4 weeks ago:
Honestly my part is pretty damn easy. The grocery store job I had before this was at least 5x harder and paid a hell of a lot less.
 - Comment on what's a good answer to placate the c-suite if you're accused of lacking motivation and being unfriendly? 4 weeks ago:
I’m pulling, pushing, and blowing air into cow carcaases all day. None of that really applies to me. There’s no skills to learn other than I guess how to do it faster, but there’s only so fast you can go when the line stops frequently cause somebody somewhere along it is going slow or messed something up. As long as I’m not the reason it stops then that’s all that really matters.

I just don’t think everyone is capable of being passionate about any job, or at least ones that are realistically achievable. Personally speaking every single thing I’m passionate about and brings me happiness are things hundreds of thousands of people do for free, so who would pay someone a living wage to do it? At my current job I’m paid incredibly well for someone that never got anything above a high school diploma (currently make around $22k-31k post taxes and deductions for insurance depending on the amount of hours I work and will get a raise soon once I finish my initial 90 days), but I just show up and do the work then go home. I don’t talk to anyone (it’s also not an environment for casual conversation considering you have to basically scream in somebody’s face for them to hear you) and spend my breaks and lunch alone reading a book.
 - Comment on EA CEO says company values will 'remain unchanged' under the new ownership of Saudi Arabia and Jared Kushner's investment firm 4 weeks ago:
Well yeah cause their company values are all just money and ways to make even more money. Nothing else.
 - Comment on If you are in the US, and a karen threatens to call ICE on you, what's the best course of action? 5 weeks ago:
Treat them like a shark and punch them in the nose before running away.
 - Comment on what's your take on employers banning the use of languages other than English between coworkers at the workplace? 1 month ago:
I’d almost say that’s a discrimination suit waiting to happen if pretty much everywhere wasn’t “at-will employment”. My work doesn’t care what language you speak and I think HR is required to know a good amount of multiple languages cause of it. Granted most people don’t directly talk to each other here and communicate through hand signs since nobody can hear anyone anyway.

I might need a year. I don’t get this level of happiness often.
 - Comment on What is it called when you believe the U.S. political parties shouldn’t exist? 1 month ago:
We can get there with A LOT more violence.
 - Comment on do you consider joking about dying and killing oneself a sign that the person saying it is troubled? 1 month ago:
I talk about wanting to blow my brains out all the time. Honestly just a way to vent frustration at life.
 - Comment on If you argue for a cause like affordable housing for everyone, is it necessarily hypocritical if you also own investment properties? 1 month ago:
Yes. Anything that gives people monetary incentive over basic needs should be removed. Keep that shit to things that don’t matter.
 - Comment on If you argue for a cause like affordable housing for everyone, is it necessarily hypocritical if you also own investment properties? 1 month ago:
If you make even a penny of profit, then yes. Housing should never be something someone does to make money. Shelter is a basic human need for survival.
