Had to look up CD skips to be sure we were thinking of the same thing. Pretty sure you can emulate that using a similar setup to what I have: a portable LG USB disc drive and VLC. IDK if this is a me issue specifically, but VLC loves to cause the first few seconds of any song on CD to skip when using that portable disk drive of mine.

I mean, yeah, it’s retro music now. And in my opinion is best played on a retro Sony Discman with appropriate retro headphones. I mean, how else can I best enjoy my For Squirrels CD or Blues Traveler or Local H or… you get the point!
Only problem is the fact my discman is a battery hog.
- Comment on What are some cool/decent PC games that are not on Steam? 3 days ago:
I recently got into a Toontown rougelike ( rougelite? ) fan game called Toontown Grindworks. It’s available for free on Itch. Ypu run from floor to floor climbing the corporate tower, fighting cogs ( basically businesspeople robots ), avoiding traps, and collecting gear and new gag tracks ( weapons/upgrades ). All to get to the final boss of the tower. I’ve only had a single run where I got to the final boss, but failed there because I got really unlucky.
There is also the current demo of Plants vs Zombies Universe, which jas a fair bit of content that can last a while if you don’t speed through it. The game is basically devs wanting to create a PvZ fan game where it’s basically content from all the games rolled into a single PvZ title. Meaning you get the exclusive PvZ Online plants/worlds/zombies, exclusive PvZ2/2C plants/worlds/zombies, etcetera. All while being a bit more balanced as of now to create a genuinely challenging game.
I was gonna say development is on indefinite hiatus, but it seems a 1.2 update was released about a week ago! Sadly, unless you already have the link, you need to access their discord for the download, from either google drive or mega, if that would sway anyone away from it. That, or I’m sure they have a QQ group set up, but I ain’t creating an account just for this game.
Other than those, the only other games I could recommend are pokemon fangames or well known open source games like Mindustry ( has a steam version, but that’s only for supporting the devs and getting steam workshop content, if you even care ) or SuperTuxKart. That, and a few furry visual novels on Itch that aren’t completed yet that I like.

You mean the company that profits off of ignoring groomers and pedos while also having a CEO that insists dating os a necessary edition has lost profit after being exposed for being evil? Parents are worried their kids may be being groomed so they refuse to let their kids on the platform and you are blaming the creators instead of yourselves?
Nope, no surprise there.
- Comment on The perfect date 2 weeks ago:
Ya know, I really think every language needs to agree on having a distinct month, day, and year marker to completely eliminate all date confusion. And I mean something universal, even if it’s as simple as a sun symbol for days and moon symbol for months, similar to Japanese. Whenever I see a date in Japanese, I am absolutely never confused at all and I appreciate it.

Probably a similar reason why people who might wear collars with “Good Boy” patches on them:
Just don’t care what others think, for the mkst part

Me and the collar I recently got.
Otherwise, probably think they’re funny and their wife doesn’t have the time to fight over it.
Also, completely unrelated, but I just found out that on the Voyager app that if you tap and hold on the new comment header while typing a comment, it’ll switch between light/dark mode. Right as I was about to send this comment.

- Comment on How does death with a mechanical/artificial heart work? 5 weeks ago:
I would assume that it might keep going until it dies if it’s battery powered. As for non-battery powered, like the replacement valve in me, probably gonna stop when the blood stops flowing. So gonna assume it’s the same for non-battery powered mechanical hearts as well.
- Comment on Has there ever been a game whose name was intentionally suffixed with "2" despite no original game? lol 5 weeks ago:
If we’re including n64 style naming convention, Corn Kidz 64. Pretty sure the name got it’s name from the fact it looks and controls like an n64 title. Otherwise, no idea since the obvious, IMO, TF2 was already mentioned.

Not gonna lie, your comment led me down a rabbit hole. Couldn’t remember the name of the guy from Naruto Shippuden who is basically that: Deidara. Took me down a rabbit hole of reading a chunk of the wikipedia page on Naruto characters.
- Comment on What's your username and password? 5 weeks ago:
I only use the most secure password ever: password
Jokes aside, just about any time I set up an insignificant VM that won’t be internet connected or live for long enough to be a threat to me, I tend to use P@ssw0rd or the same thing with a 1! at the end. Only because that’s basically the password I’ve commonly seen when doing things like when I had to set up a VM for a Linux Fundamentals college course or for any work done in a Linux VM set up in an online lab through a certain company.
But anything serious, I will either make up a password or have a password manager do it for me, even to my own detriment. Still have a locked zip folder that I’m pretty sure has a password of at least 20-25 characters long I can’t access because my memory, if that tells you anything.

Okay, how can people live in a barely furnished room? I need a room that looks like it’s been lived in or I would go crazy. Despite the higher chance of it being messy ( like my room lol ), I would absolutely take that chance over having an easy to clean empty room.

I personally won’t because GTA isn’t my thing anymore, but if my brother gets the money by launch, he definitely wants the ultimate edition for PS5.
- Comment on If Steam were to shut down tomorrow how much money would you have lost in total on games / DLC ?? 1 month ago:
Over 12 years, apparently only ~$1255.33USD over the past 12 years. Also realized I have a huge gap in my purchase history from 2015 to 2020. And it looks like the majority of my spending has been from 2020 onward.
Gonna have a presume at least a little over a quarter of my spending is due to me buying an officially refurbished LCD model deck when they were in stock a couple years ago. IDK actual price because it’s lumped in with like 3-4 games I bought at the same time, roughing out to $403.something-cents before tax.

I found a purchase history page in the client, so it might be able to tell you how old an account might be by scrolling all the way down. IDK how far back it goes, though, since my account is only a little over 12 years old.

Tehcnically, it’s couch co-op, but I presume you might be able to boot up a game like Mutiny on Nitrome. It’s kinda like Worms, but with a pirate theme. Would probably need some RDP or something similar for y’all to play, but it’s possible.
Simple enough to enjoy for at least a few rounds until you get bored and decide to quit.
- Comment on Single player games 1 month ago:
I used to enjoy playng online in mc servers and occasuionally gmod and cs:go, but only with friends on those last 2.
Nowadays I would never open cs:go because I wouldn’t be able to find it fun, especially since I can guatantee I’d be mass reported for not being good at the game. And gmod ain’t fun with strangers, IMO.
Any more I just find so much more fun im singleplayer titles and maybe games like Oaken Tower and Krosmaga ( the only PVP games I play anymore ) where it’s not skill based PVP. I just find exploration, my own choices being why I lost, and other such singleplayer type of things so much more enjoyable than losing because someone had a wired internet connection or a lag switch or simply a higher level/better equipment from playing longer or better hardware or whatever.
- Comment on Game suggestions: Downvote any game you've heard of before 1 month ago:
While looking for the link, I found out it’s a sequel… but it’s game where you play as a gator going through short-ish 3D levels in order to get your stolen swamp deed back.
Rad Venture ( just a demo ):
For a demo, it requires a LOT of storage ( ~13GB ). It’s a demo with a ton of exoloration to be had in an open environment. But basically you play as a green Rayman like lizardy dude named Rad and go around finding collectable mcguffins. The start to the demo was a little constricting because it puts you in a tutorial-esque situation with a lot of invisible walls, but after that section, there’s quite a bit to explore. Good idea to turn settings down on a normal LCD Steam Deck. Figured that ine out real quick.
It’s a fast paced 3D platformer. You play as some sort of antivirus program cresture and you can jump on enemies to disinfect or do something like a standard spin attack. There’s rewards for beating a level quick, not taking damage, and for defecting and leaving all enemies alone. Pretty fun platforner, IMO.
