Might head into work early so I can sneak out early and go to the beach this arvo if the wind is not too wild. ☀️⛱️

Is the muscle memory still all there? That’s impressive
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 6 days ago
It’s just like writing but with a brush. ( I have about 800 hrs of practice )

My nose is stuffy can’t sleep. Was feeling fine today but something buggy has developed over the course of the evening and I have that cold/flu taste in back of my throat. Noooo.

The rotary tool arrived. Thankfully I got the package before it could be stolen. But idk guys.
The depression and anxiety are getting really bad. It seems pointless to make work for myself and pour out energy I don’t have. Starting a compost bin might then require a second bin for the finished compost or using it immediately to make space for the next wave of detritus and it’s all just more planning pressures when I’m not functioning.
I’ve stopped watering the flowers in the dust bowl as it only encourages the invasive tree roots to encroach and send up new growth.
dumblederp@aussie.zone 6 days ago
About 1/3 of my compost goes back into the bin at the new location.

how goods a new phone screen. Rest of the phone looks chipped and scratched to buggery but the screen looks a million bucks! Real question is how long will the phone last now that I’ve solved its primary problem. Its done 2 and a half years tour of duty so far. Longer it lasts the more comfortable I feel just buying a current gen pro when it finally shits itself.

Man, I’d love to convince the old people to switch over to Thunderbird instead of Outlook if they HAVE to use an email client, but it’s probably more trouble than it’s worth.
Also, I think I’m covering too much in these sessions at once. We make good progress but how much is sinking in? Stretching things out means more money from return sessions, but it’s also probably better for them as we can spend more time going over a single action
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 6 days ago
I think shorter sessions are better, with enough time to practice.
Otherwise you’re just rehashing the same thing each lesson.
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 5 days ago
I’d do a different thing each session, but you’d be surprised the things they have trouble with. Even just downloading images and moving them around takes a couple of goes. I feel like we go over it once or twice then I move onto the next thing they want to do. I think I should have one session where we get good at storing images, then do something else next session
briongloid@aussie.zone 6 days ago
I’ve already had someone switch to Thunderbird since The Windows Mail app stopped working.
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 5 days ago
I tried adding an email address to Thunderbird for experience to help people and it imported my gmail information too easily. I quite liked the look and feel of it, much nicer than outlook, but the layout is different, it’s not a 1:1 with improvements

Mashing paint again for this video. I’ve stuffed up a few time and am only halfway through but oh well. And the paint dries quickly being in small space limited piles even on baking paper. I think I need a palette or something
TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 6 days ago
Maybe try paper plates? Or those ultra cheap plastic ones from colesworth?
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 6 days ago
The plastic ones sound good.
I’m finding paper absorbs moisture and speeds drying. Also I’ve been accidentally scraping through wet paper
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 6 days ago
just keep on practicing, use different materials, daiso is very good for cheap and good artist supplies
but you are awesome, you are slowly but surely doing things 🙂
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 6 days ago
Thanks. For paint I’m currently using Anko from Kmart and Born from Officeworks but will check out Daiso for more art supplies

I have harvested seeds from the red and yellow manzano chilies ready for next season. I think I’ll plant them up in autumn and grow them in a protected area to get a head start.

Keen as mustard! You’re more adventurous than I am! I don’t even have a ripe one yet.
