It’s been a month, and I’ve mostly forgotten about Reddit. Whether they ultimately succeed or fail is of no consequence to me.
It'll happen, one of these days

Same, until I see a disgruntled ex drudge it back up onto the platform.

Imagine moving to Lemmy just spend most of your time just posting about reddit. There’s a difference between moving on from something and choosing to stay in a perpetual state of outrage over the API decision.

At least they are making content on Lemmy.

Look at Digg, history may not repeat but it sure rhymes. Dying takes time.

I’m just here for the scene when he rams the remote up his butt.
ImplyingImplications@lemmy.ca 2 years ago
Who hasn’t gotten so mad that they ram a foreign object into their anus?
papalonian@kbin.social 2 years ago
I'm ramming something up my ass right now

I find it amazing that this one still image is so instantly recognisable to people who know this meme.
Its very old now and is essentially just a room with a guy stood in it. But thats enough to instantly remember this video.
I dont even think meme was a widely used term when this video came out.
Smartboystupid@lemmy.world 2 years ago
It’s a GIF actually, might not be loading properly.
Mr_Dr_Oink@lemmy.world 2 years ago
My fault. I didnt click it. Im browsing on jerboa and it doesnt look like it wutoplays gifs. At least not by default.

This old meme brings back memories. Gosh it was so funny, and still is.
Remote in the ass and all.

Finally, a meme about another community, soon we will have beef between communities and who knows, maybe war will come to lemmy
camelCaseGuy@lemmy.world 2 years ago
Ah… war. The oldest and most revered of all human traditions. That and rape. We sure are a lovely bunch.
JazzAlien@lemm.ee 2 years ago
This is spot on.

Lol it doesn’t matter. He spawned a legitimate rival that’s slowly growing into a relevant replacement. It is not there yet, and has a long way to go.
But main thing is that board is getting set for an eventual mass migration once they do their next stupid thing, same thing that launched Reddit in the first place.
And they will do the next stupid thing, because they have to. They’re being pressed to be turn a profit for the first time ever. They’re going to continue to be pressed on this, and it will turn off more and more users.
Lemmy has a lot to figure out, but give it time.
Blamemeta@lemmy.world 2 years ago
I bet they’ll break old.reddit next.
BroBot9000@lemmy.world 2 years ago
That or actually try to remove all the NSFW content. 🤦♂️
stebo02@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 years ago
We’re like a tumour. Small but slowly growing and killing off Reddit
HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 years ago
Aww I wanted to be a goiter. It’s off to mastodon with me!
Diprount_Tomato@lemmy.world 2 years ago
That slow part must change
whatisallthis@lemm.ee 2 years ago
When all of those things happen and Reddit is gone, spez will still be filthy rich.
Instead of being more rich than 90% of people he’ll be more rich than 86% of people.
this_is_router@feddit.de 2 years ago
Who the fuck cares? He will still be hated by 10% of humankind.
