We kind of needed that reference. Didnt know that was supposed to be a cop. I’m from America so.

her eyes are red from smoking the marijuana, and hiding it from the cops behind her.
captainlezbian@lemmy.world 3 hours ago
I’m so American I thought she’d been pepper sprayed and her eyes were still red while in custody

Is this not the UK where it’s decriminalized?
outlawcarl@fedinsfw.app 3 hours ago
Its not really decriminalized more just lack of enforcement beacue they have better things to do, its still a type B substance i think..
To be honest i thought it was that his arse was in her face now that is somthing i have had happen alot.

He farted in her general direction and gave her conjunctivitis…
SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 2 hours ago
It’s effectively decriminalized everywhere but when marijuana junkies get all hopped up on the devil’s lettuce they get paranoid and murdery.
Apytele@sh.itjust.works 14 minutes ago
It’s waaay safer than alcohol especially in smoked straight off the plant non GMO strength weed but yeah a processed 200-300mg strength edible can absolutely cause psychosis in the wrong person. I’ve had a looot of schiz spectrum patients who just can’t admit that weed or especially edibles are a problem for them and causing their psychosis keep winding up in the hospital.

And can a cop (legally) arrest you if you’re just high and aren’t actively doing the drug and not breaking any other laws?
blight@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 hour ago
In Sweden they can (and do). The police here take about 55 000 blood and urine samples per year for drug use convictions. It’s awful.
Catoblepas@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 hours ago
In the US some states call that ‘internal possession’, it’s mostly used so that they have something to charge teenagers with when they catch them high.
portnull@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 hours ago
Once the substance is in your body it is denatured. Therefore no possession charge. Only of you are driving etc is it a problem
She’s probably more worried about probable cause for a search

Idk
someguy3@lemmy.world 3 hours ago
Decriminalized doesn’t mean legal.
bamboo@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 hours ago
According to TinEye, this image was from at least 2019, and I don’t think it was decriminalized back then? Wikipedia has some info from a few years earlier where they cite a survey saying a majority of all police recorded drug offences in the UK were for possession of cannabis.
