I don’t understand vore. No shame if you like it, I just don’t know how is supposed to play out
SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 2 days ago
The way it was explained to me emphasized the warm and constricted aspects of being “swallowed” and I’m now somewhat sure vore people just need a weighted blanket lol.

it’s pretty solidly in the fantasy only* realm lol. kinda like giantess, transformation, monster girl, etc. people know it’s not gonna happen IRL. that’s probably why these types of kinks seem overrepresented on the internet, as opposed to more logistically feasible things like consensually hitting each other, outfits, etc.
*i mean at least in this century

Well there was this German guy that had arranged for a fetish friend to kill him and then consume parts of him…

I remember reading about that in high school and thinking, “at least he found a consenting victim, or something…?”

Worse. First, he ate parts of him. Then he killed him.

Isn’t that the inspiration for the song Mein Teil by Rammstein? Good song.

I was like, “that sounds like Armin Mewes.” Checked the link preview and thought, “that looks like Armin Mewes!” Then read the content preview and saw that I was spelling his name wrong in my head.

I don’t think hitting is under represented AT ALL on the internet. 20 years ago you would only see that if you followed BDSM links. Now it’s everywhere.
janus2@lemmy.zip 22 hours ago
oh yeah my point was that things that can’t really be done IRL because of physical/legal/ethical limitations tend to be “overrepresented” (the amount of material seems to me to be more prevalent than the number of people that seem to be into it) as a function of the fact that such things can’t be performed IRL therefore virtual spaces are the only outlet
whereas you can go to a bdsm club and hit people IRL, so the internet is only one of at least two valid outlets for expressing it
the amount of porn featuring impact play never seemed to me to be overrepresented on the internet, but now that I’m thinking about it I’m a pretty biased person to be evaluating that, because I’ve been in the bdsm community most of my adult life lol
