Had to check this because i never heard about it. But yeah, apparently dug up during a church renovation, presumed medieval.

Read the article as well and this was done by hired archaeologists. The sillier bit is that this is the result of the church being disallowed from reburying the exhumed skeletons. Could you imagine removing hundreds of pounds of skeletons from your basement only to have the government tell you that you have to keep them?

Just put them in a closet.

It’s nearly 2026. You can’t just tell people to go back into the closet

They shoulda used the bones to make religious art, like in the Capuchin Crypt in Rome: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capuchin_Crypt

Funny thing is, since this is Sweden, the government is the church

I had no idea IKEA was that old.
WhyIHateTheInternet@lemmy.world 2 days ago
Right? And most of the time their stuff is kinda junk. Can’t believe those bags were still in good condition.
Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.world 2 days ago
I’ve got a few of those bags, they’re fucking Invincible.

Ikea stuff really was made different back in those days.

Where do you think did the peasants get their barns from? And their scented oil lamps?
stupidcasey@lemmy.world 1 day ago
Old but the stuff all looks the same.
