I know theyre banned in my town, fire marshal and electrical inspector said fuck that.
Theres actually a guy who has them on his roof. Hes not allowed to turn the system on, even islanded to make power, and he eats a decent yearly fine just for having them on his roof, which is deemed a hazard by the fire marshal, should he have a fire.

Im choosing to believe there was at least one person who took this at face value, as admission that charley Kirk was a ‘white passing’ black man, and was racist enough to decide he was never going to listen to another word CK said because of his race.

There was a reddit legal advice post recently with that premise. Poster’s sister was a schizophrenic named Carol, who checked herself into an inpatient mental facility, after seeing this ad on a smart fridge, and thinking her treatment was failing and she was slipping into another episode.
Brother was wondering if they had grounds to sue over treatment costs.

All jokes aside though- how to does this store work?
Are they expecting people to just strip down inbetween the racks to try on shirts, or are we expected to just guess and hope theyll fit?
And after my 3 strikes on pants for the day… what? Do they expect me to come back the next day to try on the next 3?

All Originally medical terms, that then entered comon usage as insults, fell out of favor medically because of that, were rejected by polite society, then after a refractory period and enough replacements, became lower grade insults that were more acceptable for common use. - Comment on Calling all Dickheads! 2 weeks ago:

“In court, free speech is free speech, and that’s the only position the government should have.”
In practice this isnt though- every right has to have some limit to prevent abuse. For free speech, there are 2: the fire in a crowded theater scenario, and assault. For instance in my state, assault includes specific threats of violence. (By specific i mean the kkk would unfortunately be free to say ‘we should kill all black people,’ but 'were going tp burn down t

Way Back in highschool, we convinced one of our friends who was selling drugs to pony up $300 for a used B52 speaker system, so we could throw raves (and he could sell more drugs.) Hes long since moved on, but we still have that b52 unit, and still use it for events.
20 years ago, a couple hours before one such event, the system was dead. I pulled off the cover, and found a scorched up resistor. I took a penny, soldered one of the clipped off leads to the edge of it, then with a multimeter, slowly dragged across the surface, until I found a point with the correct resistance value. I soldered the other lead on at that point, soldered the penny into the board, and its still working to this day!

I dont feel like they are. Traveling France and Italy a couple years back, I found myself not finishing meals much more regularly that I do in the states, Even though I was eating a bit more because I was walking 5+ miles a day.
Maybe i was in part over ordering due to language, or menu expectations. Maybe some of thw places I was in were touristy and over doing it to match ‘american portions’
But for instance, i got breakfast that was ‘oefs en cocotte de compagne’ at a café a couple blocks from the louvre, far enough to not be in the tourist trap surrounding area anymore.
It was massive- 4 shired eggs with a generous amount of mushrooms and gruyere, served with 4 pieces of toast. And I confirmed with the waiter that that was not a shared portion…

Huh, so presumably, they send out groups of names by an area’s demographics. I could see them ending up with some very strange seeming names in some areas, either by smaller towns being grouped in with nearby cities, or due to supply chain changes, and stock for one area getting rerouted or mixed up.
Like there might be plenty of Sikhs in NYC, but go upstate and its possible someone’s never heard the name, or met a Sikh.
