Whether this is the same or not depends on the state.
In Mass I could grab 1 righty pencil for 20c, but in Colorado IIRC, I would still have to pay $1 for one. Pencils 2-5 would then not raise the price, #6 would raise it to $2, etc.

This is state law dependent iirc.
- Comment on A kid in my semi hometown in arkansas said he was going to shoot up a wal-mart if we went on a hanta lockdown. He was arrested and everything. Can you really be charged fed for typing? 1 week ago:
‘I’m going to kill you all’ isnt specific.
If you claimed a means, like shooting, or blowing up their meeting place, espespecially if that means is available to you, that adds credibility. P
Immediacy / timing is usually needed as well. ‘One of these days im going to chuck a grenade through the window’ Vs
“If yall protest the civil rights march in Memphis, im going to use you for target practice”
Is probably going to get a knock on your door.

The study that the whole alpha/ beta dynamic comes from was studying caged wolves in a zoo.
So limited territory, resources and mates.
Its essentialy prison social dynamics. Makes sense thats what theyd be trying to push in general society- keep people competing for the artificially scarce resources, instead of trying to wrestle back control of said resources from tbe corporations/ their owners

Personally, I think the real target is ownership of cyberspace/ computing as a whole, with the workforce cuts and the surveillance as fringe benefits/ part of the world domination plan.
Buy out all the processors and memory for a couple years, and all the retail market will be left with is net books and phones that are essentially e-readers. No more saving your files on your computer or downloading programs, everything becomes cloud/ web based and they have access to it all.
Just as important as AI tracking our every move physically, it will be tracking everything we see and do digitally.

I remember when they first came out, someone tried to take an H2 down this narrow one way brick road with high curbs in our town, and managed to wedge himself in between the curbs completely stuck, threatening to shed his sideways if he went forward of backwards

A while back, i watched my friend help another friends mom into his truck in an icy parking lot- by using the Tommy gate as an elevator to get her the 2.5’ up to the other trucks door.
TBF, at least both actually use their trucks for work. Tommy gate is a stone mason and thw other guy I regularly see hauling trees to plant for landscaping.

As a kid I was once driving back with my dad from a specialty lumber yard trip, where hed gone to pick up a ~1.5 ton, 40’ teak beam, with about 10’ hanging off the back, down low. Wed just gotten south of the city, and trafic was finally easing up, when he finally saw chance to get out of the middle lane, and went to take it.
So he threw on his right turn signal, and the guy in that lane immediately started accelerating to close the gap.
My dad just went for the switch anyway, Forcing the guy to drive off the road into the grass median ditch of lose his windshield to a massive piece of wood. All he said was “a turn signal is a signal of intent, not a request for permission.” And we kept driving.

I had to deal with the opposite once.
Was managing a bar where doing shots with customers was common. We also kept a bunch of leroux blackberry brandy in stock that was common for this (a tradition dating back 30 years)One of the bartenders refilled an empty bottle with robitussin, becauae he was sick, and was shooting that instead when he did shots.
A server then snagged thay bottle and a couple of shot glasses to pour some shots tableside for a group, and then accused the bartender of dosing him on lean. (Promethazine and roxycodone)

My friends mom has been trying the opposite- shes trying to avoid buying any plastic packaged food. Not so much out of concern for microplastics, but as a way to reduce her environmental impact.
Its also helped her eat much healthier- most candy is out, all her veggies are fresh instead of frozen, fresh meats instead of prepackaged ones, etc.

On of my friends gfs did that back in the day.
The crew was going to a local punk concert, and she was generally a bit more straight laced.
So we were all a bit surprised when she showed up in a red wig, and leather, and said her name was Jackie. We were joking about her maybe thinking we all had 'punk names… that we just all used all the time because we were always dressed a bit punk.
We all go back to the house most of them relived at to crash, and wake up in the morning to them fighting, and her accusing him of sleeping with Jackie. And him being like ‘I thought it was just a bit of role play!’
He goes into the bathroom, and she comes out to the kitchen and wete all just like, really, we all knew it was you the whole time… also your tattoo was showing…

Idk about the forensics part. Were probably talking strychnine back then, which os pretty obvious because it causes muscle spasms and people to contort up and stiffen up pretty unaturally.

Generally, when looking at a vertical representation of horizontal space, we think of the top as further away from the viewer, and the bottom as closest (think the graphics on your stove letting you know which know goes to which burner… the back burners are the top ones, and the fronts are the bottom.
The only reason to have the faucet appear as closer and ypur hands as farther away is to intentionally make it loom dirty…
…Unless this graphic is telling you to stand on the far side of the basin and wash someone else’s hands for them.

I was thinking no fatal but feel able. Seems like I was way overestimating the ability of sweat as a saline solution conductor to pull power away from the pole and create a shock on the bits below though.
- Comment on Home renovations 3 months ago:
I think there is potential for some non lethal zapping if done right (one terminal to the poles other to ground)
Your skin is where most of the body’s resistance is, and electrocution / shock can occur at much lower voltages if applied internally/ to a cut.
There’s an urban legend about a navy Electrical engineer stopping his heart by trying to measure his internal resistance with a voltmeter- he stabbed one probe into each of his thumbs and the portion of a single volt the meter uses to test resistance going across his heart was enough to cause afib.
Now, with pole dancing, theres some potential, for a sweaty bikini to make contact with both an electrified pole and the interior of the dancer’s labia, conducting enough electricity to impart a noticeable shock.
No matter the voltage though, I think the main problem is the body being part of the least resistive, or any, path to ground. Unless the screws holding the bottom of the pole also protruded through the downstairs neighbor’s ceiling, and you run the negative wire out your window and into theirs, connecting both ends of the pole to the battery…
