AI, and more locally, a windfarm, that they’ve already anlnounced a rate hike ok .15 $/kw to subsidize (this is why i hate say it, but im glad trump canceled wind)
Are why the residential solar company Im working for is more or less booked 2 years out right now, despite the tarifs.5 years ago, our clientele was people doing it for ideological/ environmental reasons, rich prepper types, or just techy nerd types. Now its small buisness owners and middle class families who know they can afford the next price hike but dont think theyll be able to afford the one after. Trust in the utility is gone.

Used to go to a dive bar that had one of those built in cabinets for a fire extinguisher or whatever, that said in case of emergency break glass.
Only it had a giant 4L bottle of Md20/20, flanked by a regular ones. When the bar shut down, be broke the glass and all took shots.

My question is, did he mistake him for a nazi on the costume alone, or did the furry introduce himself as Aaron wolf (it says thats his furry name in small text at the bottom) and the greek guy misheard it as Aryan wolf?

Im a hirsute guy, I use 2 just to dry off from my shower in the morning. Big fluffy one gets me 90% dry, then the second one gets me the rest of the way. Ive got those 2, one that lives in my work bag, and a full sized microfiber beach towel that does double duty for yoga mat during the winter.

I used to work at a restaurant, where at the begining of service every night, chef would cut a couple onions into quarters, and throw them and a handful of cloves of garlic into the fryer. It would fill the whole building with that aroma, setting the mood, before wed started cooking fornthe night.

I got a restaurant I worked at to buy a tank of N2O for staff.
The kitchen staff kept huffing my beer gas (N2 & CO) despite multiple warnings and explanations that it wasnt getting them high, just suffocating them. Twice I found a guys passed out in the walk in, still holding the still running line. The gas is heavier than air, so it pools on the ground, and it was a small walk in that didnt cycle often, so this was really dangerous.
I managed to convince the owner that buying a N2O tank for $300 and occasionally ‘forgetting’ to lock it up was way cheaper than the costs associated with a staff member dieing on premises, especially considering the health dept would almost surely force us to replace our old system and put in air testers and stuff.

My whole extended family has been using my aunt’s stop and shop card for decades, ever since she asked us one xmas to help her accrue gas points. The home phone number its tied to has been defunct for at least 20 years now, and my aunt died 15 years ago. Even the address thats tied to the account afaik (I suppose one of my cousins could have updated it) no longer exists, as her dirt road, origibally known as ‘old country rd #2’ was long ago consumed by suburbs and the farms around it parceled out.

To add, I think theres a difference between ‘im here to work in exchange for money’ and ‘im just here for 8 hrs to collect a check’
I used to manage restaurants, usually with a pooled house (all tips get tallied together, and divided by percentage based on position, which always reminded me of the way it was done on old pirate ships)
In these pooled houses it was always extremely obvious- youd have some servers touching other server’s tables, helping bus / run food when appropriate, etc. (Which is what the system is meant to incentivize- if your help gets the other waiter a better tip, thats more money in your pocket as well)
And you’d have servers who did the bare minimum even for their own section, and saw it as ‘if i spend 8 hrs On the floor dokng the bare minimum to not sent home, I get my percentage of the pot, I dont even have to do a good job on my tables’
Right now im running a residential solar crew, and weve got a couple guys who have a similar attitude; the moment they aren’t under a direct task, they just stop working. (Its not a matter of not knowing whats next, and prepping for that, they’ve been here almost a year now, and theres almost always something obvious to be doing next, even if its just grabbing the next box of materials.)

Ive been hearong the claim now occasionally For the last several years that we’ve moved into the ‘post truth’ age. AI has kind of cemented that for me.

At some point, we should legislate that all non production tech buisnesses have to be energy positive- as in 'wanna build a data center? Its got to have more solar/ wind etc, tha it uses or its unpermitable.

- Comment on Corn or something idk 2 weeks ago:
Iirc, the hebrew word that gets translated to ‘lay’ is also a pretty suspect translation. Its only other usage in the OT (and our only other known context for it) is to describe a man pursuing his wife’s servant, and contextually, is more likely to mean ‘molest’ or ‘rape’ than to describe consensual sex.
The 2 words translated to ‘man’ are also different- the first being ‘ish’ the second being ‘zachar’
While both can generally refer to anyone male, ish can be used in the context of ‘anyone’, or ‘husband/ man of the house’, whereas Zachar is often used biblically to refer to young males, and /or subordinates.
So put together, this passage is likely ‘nobody should be molesting boys,’ or ‘a master shouldn’t rape his servants or children’

Theres actually a guy who has them on his roof. Hes not allowed to turn the system on, even islanded to make power, and he eats a decent yearly fine just for having them on his roof, which is deemed a hazard by the fire marshal, should he have a fire.

There was a reddit legal advice post recently with that premise. Poster’s sister was a schizophrenic named Carol, who checked herself into an inpatient mental facility, after seeing this ad on a smart fridge, and thinking her treatment was failing and she was slipping into another episode.
Brother was wondering if they had grounds to sue over treatment costs.

All jokes aside though- how to does this store work?
Are they expecting people to just strip down inbetween the racks to try on shirts, or are we expected to just guess and hope theyll fit?
And after my 3 strikes on pants for the day… what? Do they expect me to come back the next day to try on the next 3?
