- Comment on Could Trump's "Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation" order defund vasectomies? 3 weeks ago:
I don’t think so. It’s a pretty barbaric practice, so it deserves strong language. I suspect the only reason it’s still prevalent in America is the momentum of long-standing tradition. There’s no reasonable justification for performing unnecessary surgery on a newborn’s genitals.

Yes, it’s using the common film versioning differentiator, calling it the Encore Cut.

If I was re-releasing art that didn’t age well, especially if the part that aged like milk was otherwise insignificant, I would probably alter it as well. It’s not changing anything that’s already out there, it’s just a newer version.

I liked the first one better. I guess I was just looking for the rogue-like fix of “failing forward” on subsequent runs, but the gameplay loop is much wider on the second one and that didn’t quite satisfy me the same way.

I know this is a shit post, but scribble dry erase marker over it.
- Comment on Ridley Scott Defends 'The Martian' As a Comedy 5 weeks ago:
Listened to the book and watched the extended cut just the other day. It’s quite funny, definitely part of Andy Weir’s charm, but it’s far more dramatic a story than it is a comedy.
Some of the longer, reflective scenes in the extended cut give it a more somber tone, but they don’t actually add anything to the story.

I love how they changed library sharing, too, so group members are only accessing individual games rather than entire libraries.

That’s fine. It was fun, but not so different from any of the other offerings that it’ll be sorely missed.

Every comment in these posts seems to be either “StarCitizen killed my family and dishonored my temple” or “can’t believe people let SC kill their family and dishonor their temple.”
Same old hate without real substance.

The video is a redo from the guy who did it live at Citizen Con, because the demo crashed when they were onstage.

That’s funny, I thought the lingual drift of thank you was really neat as a detail. I forget the plates thing, though. Was that when everyone was getting their powers?

I just mean that there’s no reason to assume anything. Take the story at its literal face value, because that is the only evidence that exists. It is absolutely telling that they fail to list the most salient reason to say no, but there are so many reasons why that might be the case that it’s useless to speculate.

Not my favorite mechanics of all time, but I generally liked the way it was presented, and it plays pretty snappily when everything’s automated like in the game. What aspects don’t you like about 5e? Do you think some tweaks would be enough for you to like or tolerate it?

Yep, don’t care, I’m up voting anyway. This game is well done. I loved Gunpoint, I loved Heat Signature, and I’ve been really enjoying this one. Writing, gameplay, graphics… I’m a fan, for sure. The whole Defenestration Trilogy is worth it.
