I mean yea, there’s no point in faking all that (having fancy hair, fancy pants) to have a relationship that’s based on lies and that will crumble the instant you show your true self

“that is very difficult, one the one hand you are so astonishingly beautiful that all features of you could be made by a master craftsmanship, on the other hand, as I am a person of faith, you could also be just God’s most perfect creation.
Either way, would you excuse me a second while I go to refresh in the bathroom?” - Comment on Clever, clever 3 weeks ago:
the concept of homework was dumb in the first place anyways

Given:
Bite Force of T. rex: 45,000 Newtons
Jaw Closing Distance: Approximately 0.3 meters
Energy=Force×Distance=45,000N×0.3m=13,500Joules
Say we have a typical 10w led lightbulb, how much could it power it for?
Time= Power/Energy=13,500J / 10W=1,350 seconds, or approximately 22 and a half minutes with a single T-Rex chomp, assuming 100% conversion efficiency

FYI they advertise it as “electrolytes” because it’s full of potassium and has next to no sodium, which is the main thing you lose when sweating, and they do that to say it’s sodium free while still having “electrolytes”

as you said, to look cool and tough, even though they are so weak they can’t resist using something that gives you cancer
- Comment on Anon tries smoking for the first time 1 month ago:
no, it does actually calma you down when you first smoke, but you quickly build up tollerance so you end up smoking just to calm down the cravings, and eventually you need to ramp up usage

When I dream i usually somehow always end up in my house’s stairwell, in some sort of situation that requires me to jump down instead of taking the stairs, to then realize midflight I’m not gonna survive, and then wake up while still feeling like I’m falling from a height, and after a couple seconds of being awake I can finally stop the falling sensation

methylated spirits are the ones used for cleaning, lab grade ethanol needs to be just ethanol or some reactions might fail, however in some badly managed labs you might find mislabeled stuff and have contaminants
still, you shouldn’t drink it anyways, as some producers use the highly carcinogenic benzene to make pure 100% ethanol, as distillation with water can only get you up to the 95,6% azeotrope, and some benzene might make it’s way in the product

he’s lucky to have a big enough channel to be able to afford 40000$ NMR machines, so a couple beakers aren’t that much of an expense for much more safety
but as a home chemist, there is NO WAY I’m getting new beakers every time I wanna do edible chem, especially pyrex branded ones like Nile does. Lab equipment, even basic glassware, is ridiculously overpriced

could also check for urea content, or proteins, but sure why not drink it

rinse -> acetic acid -> rinse -> Acqua regia-> Rinse -> Pirahna solution -> Rinse -> 500°C oven -> Rinse
I would then drink from it without even worrying

distilled water, lab grade ethanol, a couple drops of limonene, and there you go

and you’d be right. If you are sure about it, and you know how it works, just make it yourself, so that you don’t need to put anyone else in danger of getting sued
- Comment on Cords 2 months ago:
in AC, which is what home electricity uses, the polarity is constantly switching, from + , then - , then + , and so on, 50 or 60 times a second depending on where you live. This means that, unlike batteries, it’s symmetrical, and you can just splice the cables and attach two male plugs together and they will work regardless, even if you somehow attach the neutral to live and live to neutral, in fact in many countries you can actually buy just the plug without the cable and then you can assemble it yourself in whatever way you please.
of course tho, this should be done only if you have a decent understanding of electricity, and it should not be attempted by someone who lacks those competences, hence why hardware stores “gatekeep” male to male plugs. If you really need one and are sure you understand how they work, you can probably make one yourself.
