Tetris is difficult because you need to be good to play it, mechanics. WoW is numbers difficult because you can buy the best equipment and then pwn the noobs even if you don’t really know how to play your character.
- Comment on Nintendo president responds to Switch 2 price increase fears amid Trump tariff fallout 3 weeks ago:
Tariffs are not just for new products (new models). As soon as the current ps5 stock of a retailer is gone, they have to order new ones and pay a tariff. Then they make it more expensive for the consumer.
lets say Walmart now sells a ps5 for $400, but in a month they have to order new ones, from China. The order is more expensive than the one last month, so they pay like 40% more. Walmart will now sell the ps5 for about $560 to you.

New PS5’s and other consoles will also get way more expensive. So relatively the switch is still the same price at 600, compared to everything else.

Forget lasers, you can also shoot them with a bit of salt. But I still need a tracking system. How does that even work with such a tiny insect?

- Comment on Amazon workers narrowly reject union in historic vote 9 months ago:
Except most developed countries have strong unions and guess what, most everyone is happy with them and the workers actually have rights and get paid a fair wage. Only in the worker-trampling corporate-hellscape that is the US someone would think this nonsense.

Yes but what if one side is so slightly curved that it’s invisible to the naked eye? Then your total angles would be 179.99 degrees and it’s not a triangle.

Reading about rue treasure fleet is wild:
The Chinese expeditionary fleet was heavily militarized and carried great amounts of treasures, which served to project Chinese power and wealth to the known world. They brought back many foreign ambassadors whose kings and rulers were willing to declare themselves tributaries of China. During the course of the voyages, they destroyed Chen Zuyi’s pirate fleet at Palembang, captured the Sinhalese Kotte kingdom of King Alakeshvara, and defeated the forces of the Semudera pretender Sekandar in northern Sumatra.

She’s wrong though, everything following the scientific method is science. The fact that you didn’t pay out of your ass to publicize your research doesn’t matter. Of course it reaches less people, but that’s a separate issue.

I wonder if you can simply this by using a monochromatic IR (or UV) source instead of sodium vapor lamps and just filter out those light frequencies in software.
