It really does amaze me how so many people give him the time of day. I’m not sure his presence in any venture has been a net positive for them at the end of the day.
Every company he has ever touched succeeded at what they were doing despite his constant fuckery.

Authoritarianism is the more efficient governing model.
It is far more beneficial and productive to society to dump more money and research into countering the negative health outcomes of eating terribly unhealthy food than it is to try and undo entire socioeconomic models and human habits that are geared to consuming the unhealthy things.
Some people are so stupid they should be chemically castrated. Depending on them to raise a future functioning human being will fail and ultimately will be a drain on the over all system.
Some people have done such horrible things beyond a shadow of a doubt that even death is too much of a mercy. They should be kept alive and tortured mentally and physically every day until they die of old age or natural disease processes.

So you had her grow out the hair, you filmed it, and then decided not to include it in the film? Missed opportunity to start a new very specific fetish.
- Comment on An 82-year-old YouTuber grandma was raided by police and SWATs during her live stream last night where she plays Minecraft to raise money for her grandsons cancer. Authorities brought 20 police cars 4 weeks ago:
Takes a special kind of asshole to swat a little hold lady for trying to host a wholesome gaming stream for a good cause.

It really is interesting how we have such large trucks and very few parking spots outside of the back nine of Wal-marts parking lot even close to big enough for them.

Upending the lives of all of these people is actually a GOOD thing for the industry. ~ Tim Sweeney
- Comment on When people recommend Brave browser. 2 months ago:
I think you are probably assuming most people are as informed about such things, even tech literate people. As someone who tends to stick his head in the sand on anything that isn’t specific tech news I care about organically it would be pretty easy to miss all of the scummy things Brave has done over the years. Let alone the sketchy history of Eich himself.
- Comment on Lutris now being built with Claude AI, developer decides to hide it after backlash 3 months ago:
You are correct but people in general are pretty bad at subtly and grey area. Just look at the current state of political discourse in the US. Probably half the people that support the likes of Trump do so because they like black/white binary choice and can’t handle shades of grey in their life emotionally.
- Comment on Xbox as a platform is officially dead 3 months ago:
Dumb marketing speak aside, the general thrust of just turning Xbox into a brand for Microsoft games Studios to release games on Windows and maybe other platforms one day doesn’t seem like all that bad of an idea to me.
I want more easy access to more open and flexible platforms in my everyday life, not less. If the traditional console has to go away for us to get the proliferation of “PC games” as the default in ways the average person can easily use that seems like a win for the gaming market overall.

As gross as it is, this writing has been on the wall for years now. As soon as Branch did the initial purchase anyone that cared about such things should have starting looking at alternatives.
- Comment on I've heard New Yorkers are devastated 7 months ago:
Assuming there are people in NY that would actually want to go to one of his shows, I would imagine the prospect of actual important parts of their lives getting better would outweigh the desire to watch Kid Rock sing the songs you can already hear on Spotify live.

Its called “ladder pulling”.
- Comment on advertising and headers take up 50% of screen space 9 months ago:
Advertising being allowed to become the dominant monetization method for the internet was a mistake.
I’ve never seen anything that makes most of its money from advertising that doesn’t get worse and worse for it over time as a result. Once you let the advertisers in they will ruin whatever it is they are being allowed to leech off of. Might take 1 year, might take 20, but once they get that foot hold they will run it into the ground because like a billionaire and money, it is never enough.

- Comment on Baby dies after California mom leaves him in car to get lip filler on 101-degree day, police say 11 months ago:
I don’t understand how someone makes the logical leaps they do in these kinds of cases. Even from a purely selfish stand point, the risk of exactly what happened and the fallout are just not worth it to make that appointment right then and there or just have the kids sit in the lobby.
I must be losing my grip on reality, trying to reason why someone that thinks this way does the things they do.
- Comment on My son got Nikes so he doesn't get teased. 11 months ago:
No matter if you end up getting him a pair or not. Be sure he understands that such things as bullying people for having the “wrong” shoes is shallow clique nonsense and he should be better than that.
- Comment on Young men are 'playing videogames all day' instead of getting jobs because they can mooch off of free healthcare, claims congressman 11 months ago:
What about all of those congress critters that get that big bad “socialized medicine” that the common people can’t (funny how it is fine when it is for them isn’t it.)? I bet that costs a shit ton given the average age of congress critters. How about we make some cuts there?
- Comment on The 'Stop Killing Games' initiative is close to its final deadline, and after that, its leader is understandably done: 'Either the frog hops out of the pot, or it's dead' 11 months ago:
In my experience working with devs at game studios, it is rarely them that is so against open sourcing code, or giving fans of the game the tools needed to keep it going on their own once the devs move on.
It is nearly always the executives looking to make sure no one manages to enjoy something the people that work for them created without them getting paid for it.
- Comment on Nexus Mods' new owners promise they won't monetise the site to death as users panic at the whiff of venture capital 11 months ago:
Won’t monetize to “to death”, just right up to the line of death.
- Comment on Apple TV+ is painful as fuck 1 year ago:
I find that Apple supports their software and services on platforms they don’t own cradle to grave while holding their nose, seemingly just so they can say they are available on other platforms. And catch a few bucks from people that don’t have their hardware but really want to watch Ted Lasso and the like legally on their Android/Roku/Fire TV device.
Sure, it technically works, but like you have seen it is clearly a very distant afterthought.
