Roadhouse is a classic! I don’t think it counts here.
I very much liked 13th warrior, just watched it again last week! It’s on YouTube free with ads right now

The plot was bad, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie close to how bad the romantic chemistry was between the main characters. There was negative chemistry, in fact they felt more like brother and sister which just made the whole thing creepy.

JFC, that is a lot of uneducated nonsense. “X” is losing 400-500 million a year, we know this from companies that lent him money and are public. I never said Elon would go bankrupt just “X”. Trump has constantly done anything he wants without care to precedence and has shown that he’ll do anything for a dollar. He also is a dementia laden fool that can be led around like a puppy right now.
I never said Elon was an idiot, that’s why I think he’ll get Trump to bail “X” out. Specifically because you don’t get that rich by losing money or passing up a chance to earn the kind of money he can off of Trump.
- Comment on do you think lemmy will ever be popular? 1 week ago:
Everyone looks at mega businesses as immune to decay. They’re not it just takes longer.
I think “x” may actually be the first to topple though. It’s losing money at an insane rate and that’s with a mega election year propping it up. That’s one of the reasons Elon is pushing Trump so hard, is for the government bail out he’ll get.

Now, you know it’s up to you whether or not you want to just do the bare minimum. Or… well, like Brian, for example, has thirty seven pieces of flair, okay. And a terrific smile.

I actually don’t pay much attention to 1 or 5 star reviews. It filters out a lot of useless reviews.
If I do look at one stars, I’m usually just looking for trends of people having specific issues. Or if the overall rank is being dragged down by stupidity. For example I saw like five people leave one star reviews in one weekend because the restaurant was closed due to a water main break…

While true, there are levels, just like dante’s circles of hell. Not all company’s entire business model is specifically designed to take advantage of people’s good nature and/or poor people’s desperation…

They are a for-profit company built around taking advantage of poor people.

Depends on where you live, most places Comcast just has soft caps.
The US is actually moving further back. Data caps are a newer thing.
- Comment on What metrics are deoderant companies using to calculate their "72hr protection" numbers? 4 weeks ago:
Technically it’s probably a defensible lie.
They do a very unrealistic lab controlled experiment saying that it retains 50% of it’s odor suppression after 72 hours.

Also inbreeding is a huge issue, I know back in the nineties there was a big deal about the large communities (Midwest, PA, NC?) intermarrying to try and help the issues

Yeah the more I’ve found out and paid attention to over the past few decades. I think the Amish how they were originally envisioned, died out many many years ago.
The current ilk, use that perception to make money and at best give lip service to the original ideals.
I figure in 50 years Amish will be indistinguishable from any other modern religion.

It mainly depends on if it makes them money or not.

You don’t have Ethernet over power do you?
Fun story, I live in a townhome, I had so bizarre network issues going on. Not able to stream to TV etc. finally started unplugging shit. Unplugged the router and saw the computer still happily downloading something WTF! Turns out a neighbor also has Ethernet over power and devices were randomly connecting to their network. Crazy ass shit.
