Not to mention that China, which was buying a significant portion of the world oil (i forget the figure but it was 5 or 7%), has now stopped and is using reserves. Those reserves are vast (they have oil for a full year) but when they choose to resume buying we’ll get another kick in the teeth

Battlefield 6 is a new one that comes to mind - heard good things, might try it in the “perpetual demo” mode

- Comment on What is this Iran War really about? 3 weeks ago:
That is certainly one factor, Trump does primarily act on pride, and Obama lives rent free in his tiny brain

The more obvious answer was of course to distract from the epstein-trump files, but I am not sure it was that simple.
Certain people are claiming Epstein was primarily an arms dealer (state sanctioned) and a sex trafficker second - and frankly the evidence does seem to support that. However he did not get so influential by himself, it’s possible certain characters helped him, not least through Ghislane Maxwells father, which is claimed to have been a triple spy for multiple countries, one of which is israel.
Now i’m not much for conspiracy theories and i’ve got no racial/religious bias against the israelis, but the Mossad is pretty powerful and it is plausible that it may have used people like Epstein to get dirt on various people (kompromat style). This could also explain why Trump is the first president that accepted Netanyahu’s pitch to attack Iran, but he is a fucking moron after all so who knows?! He may have been emboldened by his success in Venezuela. We will likely never know for sure, but imo this is the best guess given the most plausible claims i have seen so far

True but my impression is that in contrast to other divisions it probably doesn’t get the focus, resources or the vision it needs. It’s just a means to sell their other stuff, so all the great people will choose to work for other teams. I remember seeing a discussion with Dave Cutler (if i remember his name correctly) a few years ago saying he left the windows team to work on xbox and azure because it was much more interesting - i know the guy has done it all and was looking for something different but it didn’t seem very encouraging

Apart from what everyone here is saying, which is probably mostly true, I want to add that the Windows division in microsoft isn’t the biggest either in terms of revenue or funding; it’s not even second. The office team is much bigger for instance - so Windows has not been Microslops priority for a good 15 years i’d say. My 2 cents

The misunderstanding, and rightly, the confusion, comes like you said from the level of processing. Cooking is considered processing - so these words have little value in reality as they mean different things for different people
