- Comment on Trump told Taiwan not to 'go independent' - but does it want to? 1 week ago:
That is difficult and complex. The U.S. has diplomatically agreed to the one China policy, which undermines Taiwan’s ability to make treaties and allegiances. It has also complicated Taiwan’s inclusion in international bodies and agreements. The U.S. has also stated they would assist in the defense of Taiwan if China tried to force unification, which is in direct conflict with their claimed support for the one China policy.
So now telling Taiwan to not declare independence is just another scoop of BS on top of the shit cake the US has been creating for decades with their two-faced spineless tightrope walk between China and Taiwan. And all of the diplomatic garbage has had the end goal of trying to gain an upper hand in order to exploit the two nations. Now that China has grown in diplomatic, political, and military power the U.S. can do little to exploit them and is trying to find a way to still wield influence in the region.
Trump is too stupid to even understand any of that however. So he will flail wildly and likely the world as a whole will be worse off for his fumbling ineptitude when it comes to his weilding U.S. hard and soft power.
So what the U.S. should do is probably stop letting Trump be in any kind of office. Stop trying to exploit nations for its own enrichment. And stop being a spineless pile of shit and take a stance. Either stand by and support allies, or stop claiming to be an ally. But that will never happen.

Taiwan has been entirely self governed for decades. They are independent. This whole thing is fucking stupid. Fuck China. Fuck the U.S.

- Comment on Not looking for how to meth. But is not a moonshiners still about as dangerous as a meth house exploding? What the difference? 2 months ago:
This is why firefighters typically work to protect surrounding structures, but let the meth lab burn. That is, if it is already known to be a meth lab. Between the toxic chemicals and the difficulty of dealing with various chemical fires it is safer to just let it burn itself out if possible.

I was referring to their packer. Some are silicone, some are a blend, some are made of other things.
- Comment on human ingenuity knows no bounds 2 months ago:
I doubt it was silicone in that case. The melting point for silicone is like 1000 F.
- Comment on Firearm Advice 2 months ago:
So I know this is a shitpost, but a pelvic shot is taught by some militaries as part of an alternative failure drill (two shots to the chest, followed by one to the head if they continue to be a threat). Its a larger target than a headshot requires, and is rarely protected by armor. Plus of you miss the shot is more likely to hit the ground instead of continuing flight well beyond whoever you were shooting at.
So shitpost or not, its not the worst place to shoot.
- Comment on Home-building robots could help fix the housing crisis 2 months ago:
It is super easy to attract more people as framers and construction in general. Pay them a wage/benefits that make the work attractive. If there aren’t enough people trained, then use your aging workforce and start a paid apprenticeship program. Voila you have a younger workforce trained to do the work. That cuts into profits though, so they would rather blame made up BS for housing issues.
- Comment on Home-building robots could help fix the housing crisis 2 months ago:
Innovations like this entirely miss why housing is expensive and out of reach for most people. We have more housing than people already.
This doesn’t address corps like Blackrock buying up housing in bulk in order to dictate market prices. It doesnt address the wealthy buying up property as a way to avoid taxation on wealth even whrn yhry have little intention of using it. It doesn’t address legislation that prohibits high density housing or mixed use real estate. It doesn’t address plummeting buying power because wages have plateaued for decades while inflation keeps rocketing up.
So until that and more is addressed there is no construction innovation that will make the housing market more affordable.

WSL is the windows subsystem for Linux. It lets you run Ubuntu terminal in Windows. So it would ultimately be running on windows. Though that feels like it would be more comex than running a macOS VM.

You should check out the game Wandering Village. Its not bees and snails, but you do build a village on a giant beast that you can feed.

I don’t think vegetable is a botanical term. So fruit and vegetable aren’t really mutually exclusive.
