It could be. I didn’t feel like looking it up, and that was as close to the answer as I could remember.

They arbitrarily raise prices all the time. Have you not noticed? And are you going to just stop eating food if it suddenly costs 10 percent more?
- Comment on They eliminated cashiers and keep the profits. NY Democrats are fighting back. 22 hours ago:
Do you think the CEO compensation is the only place they are siphoning off funds to the oligarchs? And even with all the greed, they are still admitting to robbing $3.8B from the working class. That’s all profits are.
The system rewards greed and corruption. So that’s what they do. They conspire with other corporations to inflate prices. They take advantage of disasters to gouge consumers. These aren’t conspiracies, they are things that have been admitted to under oath and discovered through investigation.

The CEO of Kroger made $15.63 million in 2024. Pretty sure there are lots of ways they could make it work. They choose not to.
- Comment on They eliminated cashiers and keep the profits. NY Democrats are fighting back. 1 day ago:
It seems like they will just mark everything up by 10% and then give that discount at self checkout. So they will pocket even more while harming those who don’t use self checkout.
Or eliminating cashiers altogether.
- Comment on Hey jackass, this is why trucks with large tires are supposed to have mud flaps. 2 days ago:
I knew there were rules for that with commercial vehicles, I wasn’t sure about private. And it gets even more complicated since every state is different.
- Comment on Hey jackass, this is why trucks with large tires are supposed to have mud flaps. 3 days ago:
Mud flaps generally aren’t legally required. However multiple states don’t allow tires to be that far outside of the wheel well.

- Comment on Former Valve writer says PlayStation killing physical discs is no conspiracy: "You, the consumer, have made your choice, and the choice is for digital" 1 week ago:
If it was actually the consumers choice then Sony would conti he offering the PlayStation with a disc drive and physical media since that is what the vast majority of consumers chose despite it costing more to purchase.
- Comment on How come in America Cunt is such a egregious word but not the same in Europe? 2 weeks ago:
I agree with the comments, but it’s also about how the word is used in the US. Cunt is really only ever used as a derogatory term for a woman. Usually a woman who isn’t subservient enough, or that doesn’t align with stupid ‘traditional’ values. So the reason is is egregious is because it is used hatefully by bigots. And decent people don’t want to be associated with that.
- Comment on Just to get this straight Odysseus angered the gods by just trying to survive the only way he could at the time? 2 weeks ago:
Man, you should look into some Nordic mythology. Those weirdos were definitely flawed. No idea what was going on with them, but their stories are fucking wild. Like Loki turning into a mare to seduce a giant’s horse to win a bet, then getting pregnant and giving birth to an eight legged horse he named Sleipnir. He then gifted the horse (his son) to his dad Odin. Odin then used his eight legged horse grand son as his mount.

- Comment on What are the worst ever city street layouts? (U.S. perspective) Charlottesville VA and Lexington KY 2 weeks ago:
I can’t weigh in on a lot of the cities people have mentioned. I will say the Charlottesville is impressively terrible for making it miserable to drive, bike, walk, or use public transit. You would think they would get at least one mode of transportation to be ok, but nope.
- Comment on She was churning plastic 3 weeks ago:
With fully synthetic oils, tighter tolerances, and cleaner running engines there are many cars that are easily going to make it to a year or 10k miles without serious degradation of the oil.
Things like tire rotations should still be done more often. And there are ways to check/test oil for degradation if you don’t believe manufacturer recommendations.

- Comment on GTA 6 is a 'singleplayer experience,' GTA Online may be sold separately 5 weeks ago:
I understand the logic behind this, but the $80 price tag for a game that is forecast to sell incredibly well kind of undermines that thought. If they are using the absolutely absurd amounts of money they have made from GTA online to fund the game there would be no justification for the higher cost for this game in relation to other AAA titles. So this is purely driven by greed, and Rockstar is happy to increase profits and enrich their executives through predatory behavior.
We should not be making excuses for corporations that will happily embrace profit with no regard for morality or ethics.

What do you use for your phone now? The major alternative to android is iOS, but it is significantly more locked down than Android is despite Google continuing to push it toward tighter and tighter restriction.

- Comment on There's never been an easier time to boycott Microsoft, the most boring video game publisher in the business 1 month ago:
They release games. Just shitty games and slowly. Doesn’t matter if they can minimize your options. If they control 50% of the market, it stops mattering if their games suck because the options are limited and they can control so much.
And I know there will always be indie devs, but the majority of gamers will buy whatever is marketed most heavily. It makes everything worse for everyone, but Microsoft doesn’t have to work as hard to be competitive.
- Comment on There's never been an easier time to boycott Microsoft, the most boring video game publisher in the business 1 month ago:
You dont have to compete if you own the industry. That has been the Microsoft MO for decades.

- Comment on Trump told Taiwan not to 'go independent' - but does it want to? 2 months ago:
That is difficult and complex. The U.S. has diplomatically agreed to the one China policy, which undermines Taiwan’s ability to make treaties and allegiances. It has also complicated Taiwan’s inclusion in international bodies and agreements. The U.S. has also stated they would assist in the defense of Taiwan if China tried to force unification, which is in direct conflict with their claimed support for the one China policy.
So now telling Taiwan to not declare independence is just another scoop of BS on top of the shit cake the US has been creating for decades with their two-faced spineless tightrope walk between China and Taiwan. And all of the diplomatic garbage has had the end goal of trying to gain an upper hand in order to exploit the two nations. Now that China has grown in diplomatic, political, and military power the U.S. can do little to exploit them and is trying to find a way to still wield influence in the region.
Trump is too stupid to even understand any of that however. So he will flail wildly and likely the world as a whole will be worse off for his fumbling ineptitude when it comes to his weilding U.S. hard and soft power.
So what the U.S. should do is probably stop letting Trump be in any kind of office. Stop trying to exploit nations for its own enrichment. And stop being a spineless pile of shit and take a stance. Either stand by and support allies, or stop claiming to be an ally. But that will never happen.
