I’m curious. Are there countries with laws preventing that? If so, I’m curious which ones and what the law says? I can’t think of a good law that would prevent stores from doing that.

You never had situation when you saw something new and thought to try it?
If you never do that, then you are in very small minority. I do use shopping list, but still might occasionally get something more than what was on the list.
This is how stores could influence that through strategic product placement.
- Comment on Every fucking time 1 week ago:
What makes you think stores would want that. The reason they reorganize stores to increase profits. They identified certain areas of the store that sell better and move product that they want to increase sales there.

I was actually thinking that 3 disks isn’t that much in used to 12 floppies during Amiga games
- Comment on 1 week ago:
Somebody said that the game is 300GB, BluRay XL4 can hold 128GB, so that would be 3 discs. Of course if the game console can read XL4.

I liked 4, especially if you also played the DLCs you saw how the different characters intertwined, especially the diamond story, you for the whole picture how the diamonds changed hands, Pulp Fiction style.

You really have a problem with the alkaline water and not cutting someone’s face and sewing in place of yours?

We can all start with ourselves, which is easier first step.
The only games I purchase are from GOG with 2 exceptions of 2 portal games on steam.

That’s a weird and confusing language if true.
At least in geometry square is a special case of rectangle.
- Comment on Proof that math is real 5 weeks ago:
It’s the other way. Squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are square.
Rect-angle, rectus-angle, right/proper-angle
- Comment on outsmarted 5 weeks ago:
It doesn’t actually say the currency is dollars though, but I guess the language still rules it out, and it is unlikely to be £30k.

You get care that is covered, there might still be some drugs and experimental treatments that isn’t. This is because there’s still no actual cure for cancer.
This is why you still can see people collecting money for treatments even when they have socialized medical care.
When your cancer can be treated with already approved treatments then you are golden otherwise you do suffer similarly.
This is not attack on socialized medical care, you are still better than no care, you might still get radiation, chemotherapy etc, it is more attack on situation cancer can create.

With cancer even with places that do have socialized medical care you might still need a lot of money.
Cancer sucks.

Well, given how heavy gold is, I think a decent size brick would still do the job ;p

Yeah, I remember going through that period when started learning English, but also attending other classes that I was passionate about and didn’t want to wait.
I understood everything the teacher said, but tough luck if I had any question. I remember trying to ask once and teacher trying to figure out what I was asking.

Maybe the blade would have to be replaced on every use, but the weight would still do its job.
- Comment on Missed call 1 month ago:
That’s a valid point, but one cannot say that it “literally never worked” because it does.
Most of my spam was “legitimate” telemarketers, because I only give my phone to legitimate businesses, never provided it for some surveys and other crap that requests it. Also when I get a call that I don’t recognize I just let it go to voice mail.

My understanding is that It works by storing number of likes and dislikes and computes a ratio then extrapolates it using the number of likes provided by YouTube API.
Here what their site says:
- Comment on YouTube now 1 month ago:
Users who know enough to install it have much more valuable feedback than average YouTuber IMO.
- Comment on YouTube now 1 month ago:
Users up voting and down voting controls what’s get popular, by not being transparent about it YouTube can promote crap no one wants to see.
It is just another form of enshitification.
- Comment on YouTube now 1 month ago:
Of course it is, because YouTube doesn’t provide the data so it is forced to derive the rating only from people who use that extension.

LOL, it seems to work for me, I receive almost no spam on my phone.

- Comment on To distract the world from Epstein files 3 months ago:
Sorry, but if China is in possession of Epstein files there are two possible outcomes:
- if it wanted to cause damage, it wouldn’t make threats or would just release them
- but even more likely it would just hold them to force this admin to do whatever it wants (aka we would never heard about them)
Therefore I don’t believe in such public threats, it just makes no sense for China to make them if they are in possession of them.
