The big question is why should we care? Why should this be our problem? Why should our hard earned money be used for profit instead working only as an insurance pool?

Things change, and one has to adapt (just look at the LLM crazy), same with insurance companies. They can similarly adapt and do something different, for example start offering insurances that would be on top of the M4A. Not replacements though. Medicare “Advantage” should be abolished as well.
